My Computer Won't Play MIDI Files!

Hi! I recently formated my computer and installed Windows XP Professional Edition, with Service Pack 2. But now, it won't play MIDI files. This is the only format I'm having problems with. I've already installed K-Lite Codec Pack, for playing all the videos and audio files. Do I have to install any drive? If so, how can I find out which one and where can I download it? I've already searched about it on Google, but I'm confused. So I thought, oh why not ask about it in the Celine Forum? I hope someone here knows hot to help me. Thanks a lot in advance!

Winamp should play midi files.

I actually already have Winamp installed in my computer. I also have Windows Media Player and other players too (the latest version of each one). But none of them can play MIDI files. I guess that's because I have to install a drive, but I have no idea how to do that.

I don't think you'll have to install further drivers to play MIDI files. I haven't come across the problem before, but Microsoft has an article and possible solutions for this specific issue. Check the link below. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Seeing as the problem is not only in Windows Media Player, you might want to try the second solution under, "Why can't I play MIDI files?"
