I love how people think that Celine being in Las vegas for 5 years constitutes that she shouldn't perform in the US. I think she should, and I'm sure she will.

 

Not everyone can fly to Las vegas, I know I couldn't. It's very expensive to be a student in the USA, so being able to afford that trip was only a dream.

 

People also forget how HUGE this country is. It's about a 4hour flight from Illinois to Nevada. Now, should Celine peform in my state, I will be there. Chicago! Here I come! I'll be sure to catch Celine on this tour. It would be a crime not to.

Yeah, we've been lucky to have her in Vegas, and I've been super lucky to live so close that I can see her whenever I want, but I still want to see her in a "standard" concert setting, so I'm hoping she'll perform somewhere close like L.A. so I can just drive there. I'd hate to have to fly halfway across the U.S. to see her but I just might have to. I'm REALLY hoping she'll even do a regular concert somewhere in Vegas; that would be ideal...

I'm planning to applauss her in Frankfurt, Germany in June 08 and I would like to see her again then!

Las Vegas, NV (one night only concert at Caesars as a "homecoming" of sorts)

Raleigh, NC

Lake Tahoe and/or Reno, NV

 

 

And then I'm sure she'll wrap up the tour in Canada in Quebec.

I've never understood why so many large acts play Dallas and skip Houston. Houston's bigger then Dallas. How do you just not play the 4th largest city in the US?

Thanks, i was about to write that, its always Dallas this and Dallas that, to my opinion Dallas venues cant touch Houston's at all. We have more people here and we are better developed and people are nicer here. My dallas friends always tell me the same. Last time she was here in houston is when they found out Rene had cancer right after houston's concert on the way to Dallas. I hope that doesnt bring bad memories and they decide not come back. We'll see but if she comes here i will do anything to get front row tickets!

I don't live in Chicago, but if that's the closest she's getting to my area I'm going! But like other posters have already commented, Las Vegas is very expensive, and not feasible for everyone even if they live in the mainland US. Fortunately I had the chance to see her in Vegas, but I want to see her again and again.

I would think that at some point, maybe after the European tour she would do at least some U.S. dates. I thought it would have made more sense do the European tour as planned, THEN release the new English album, then do a North American tour but I guess she did not want to wait any longer to release the English album. I think a lot of North American fans would like a normal tour schedule with a lot of cities included, but that would mean she would be touring for the next few years, and I'm not sure she wants to do that.

 

I'm sure she will add some Canadian dates in the next year so maybe that's the closest concerts we can see for now.

Okay everyone, Celine has NEVER been to Tulsa, Oklahoma... NOW SHE IS!!! She is the TOP STORY!! I think I'm gonna faint!! They are saying over 18,000 people at the concert!!!!!!!

Celine Dion To Perform

An international recording star will play at the BOK Arena. News On 6 anchor Omar Villafranca reports the arena isn’t even finished yet, but we finally know of at least one major act playing at the BOK center. Celine Dion's "Taking Chances World Tour" will play at the BOK center November 13, 2008. Tulsa is one of 45 cities on the tour, and the only city in Oklahoma where she'll perform.

 

Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor says she's excited about the revenue the concert will bring the city. The BOK center's GM says Wednesday’s announcement puts Tulsa on the tour map.

 

"Other people that are routing other tours and major artists look and say, where did they route? What were the 45 dates that they picked? To be on that list I think is very, very helpful for me in trying to attract other events," said John Bolton, General Manager of the BOK Center.

 

BOK Center officials hope to sell more than 18,000 tickets to the Celine Dion concert, but information on ticket prices won't be available until next week.

 

This isn't the first show that will open the BOK Center. That concert has not been announced yet.
