celinefan1985 Posted June 22, 2007 at 12:37 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 12:37 PM Forget about Immensite ASAP! Release a double-single A cause/ OSAAC immediately followed by a "surprise" visit to France with lay-over in Quebec during July break (three to four day promo is enough). Radios can choose which version they prefer to play. Releasing it now will keep momentum going and will be more "space" between the English release. She could then go back to Europe in the fall to promote the English CD. I am sure it is not as easy and simplistic as I am making it out to be but for heavens' sake, this CD and single deserve a real chance. Being a fan for over twenty years I am so frustrated with them choosing the wrong singles to realease EACH time!I remember reading once that choosing singles is much more of a political thing and it is not always the best song that gets released. CELINE wake up and smell the coffee! We all know that deep down, you DO NOT want to retire. You are ADDICTED to the stage and that is why you are embarking on a massive world tour. it is all you know and you WANT to be back in the spotlight. Well, you should really consider if SONY is the right company to help bring you back to where you where and where you want to be. J Quote
fred Posted June 22, 2007 at 12:47 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 12:47 PM You are right about wrong single choices and you are right about A Cause should be released as soon as possible. To be honest with you I would like to see two separate singles for A Cause and On S'est Aimé À Cause since the tracks are very different to eachother even though the have the same lyrics and they each disverve their own time in the spotlight. I can't see why they released Immensité as a single. The proper promo should had looked like this:1. Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une, prior to the album release2. A Cause, along with the album release3. On S'est Aimé À Cause, summer ballad /fred Quote Peace and love to all.

Javito Posted June 22, 2007 at 01:26 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 01:26 PM (edited) I agree with you joeym, I don't understand what Sony Music pretends to do with Céline's french album and why Céline is still with this awful company that doesn't treat her like she deserves Well I know a possible answer: because Céline doesn't care anymore about the singles, promotion and anything We had 2 commercial releases and 2 promotional single for radio with SISDA, 2 commercial singles with 1F4T and any promotional, and what are we going to have with this album, just 1 commercial single and 1 promotional for the radio?... I thought that Sony strategy with Céline would change with D'elles, but everything keeps the same, even worse and worse. I thought that they would release many singles from this album, with some remixes and videos for the fans to buy in a CD SINGLE, but everything is the same bad as always Edited June 22, 2007 at 01:33 PM by Gonzalillo Quote "Hush, now... But did they support the song in the radio, did they release any single for the people to buy with some remix or video to incentive the purchase? So I'm not surprised if it hasn't succes, its normal if they don't care about Céline's music and don't give her music any chance! Edited June 22, 2007 at 01:29 PM by Gonzalillo Quote "Hush, now... Tal Posted June 22, 2007 at 03:53 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 03:53 PM 2 songs with the same lyrics are not THAT different I could not disagree with you more. The two songs could not be any further from each other. They might share some lyrics, but on the one hand you have energetic club song, and on the other an incredibly emotional and moving ballad. OSAC does NOT deserve to be the B side of A Cause. If Sony wants to release them together and let DJ's pick which one they want to play, thats fine. But I hope they wont just lump them together because they share some of the same lyrics. SuperLove4Celine Posted June 22, 2007 at 04:54 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 04:54 PM Personally I would have released different songs in different countries. I'm very happy that Poland (I think that's the country) decide to go with "Le temps qui compte" as a single. Also, I would have made "A cause," and "Femme comme chacune" as singles right after "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une" instead of "Immensité." However, I have a feeling that the reason "Immensité" went single is because Céline and René wanted it to go single. This way it gave them the chance to do the music video they did with their family at the end. ...Joe... Quote
blue.grave Posted June 22, 2007 at 05:06 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 05:06 PM I would love if they did put A Cause on the radio and made it a single soon. This will keep D'Elles a float. Quote For the joy of life, My passion for video gaming, and my Love for Celine Dion.
celine5-5 Posted June 22, 2007 at 06:42 PM Posted June 22, 2007 at 06:42 PM she's not gonna retire, at least anytime soon. even if every single album she ever releases from now on mortifyingly fails, she'll still be in the business for not only her fans, but herself. besides, if you ask me, 40 (really 39) is a most pathetic age to retire at. RLAAMJR. Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:33 PM Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:33 PM The best way to promote an album is that the Singer/artist should have a tour, should go to the places, prioritizing the places where he/she has a lot of fans. And that's what Celine Dion should do. Celine should go to places where she has a lot of fans and places where french is the language since D'elles is a french album. Celine Dion should also promote her french album in other countries with big population or where she has a lot of fans even if those countries or fans don't speak nor understand french. "Cos Celine can actually sing her previous english songs to entertain them. And the world tour should be done only when her english album is released so that other people all over the world will still be excited about her comeback. And she should release an album on October so she can have rest on December and some fans will actually buy 2 or three or more and give it to other people as gifts. And Celine should start touring worldwide on October of course ang get very busy from January until May. And beginning on June, she'll have live shows at least 4 times a week ( 4 times cos she can actually rest in the morning and part of the afternoon and her shows only last nearly 2 hours) so she can have rest the whole day on sundays and visit/have concerts to at least another country ( nearby countries in particular) every saturday. Every week for 4 months in China. That would be before, during and after the Olympic Games 2008 in China. Well, a lot of people from different countries will be gathering in China. It could be possible that for the 6.5 billion people in the world, 2.5 billion people might be in China those days And she can extend her shows in China 'cos i know there'll be a lot who wanted to watch her again and a lot who haven't watch her shows yet and wanted to watch her shows. And while still having shows in China , she will sing at least 16 songs again for her christmas album to be released on the 2nd week of november. So that means, her world tour should concentrate on other countries far from China. Celine will set a new record for biggest-selling shows, might be on the top 10 highest paid or most earnings. And how many albums will be sold? It will set a new record! And since more people will like Celine, D'elles will boost up its sales and will become the best-selling french album of all time. D'eux will just be behind D'elles. The christmas album will be the best-selling christmas album of all time as well(",) Records set in less than a year and a half and it's possible.
