Well sure I think a cover without Céline would had been very nice, the whole pose on that cover looks really odd. But the first alternative is rather cheap, sorry. But yea anything would had been better than the one we got, but hey, five years ago The last cover (D'elles) was super!

Sorry, but I've to disagree. In fact, the ANDHC is my most favorite cover, over all the HUNDREDS of CD's that's been released. It's clean and EXTREMELY attractive. And it was the first poster of Celine I ever got. ANDHC has the most amazing cover/booklet/promotion art of ALL Celine's albums or projects in my opinion. Honostly, there hasn't been a BETTER one to date.

I don't know - I think as a single cover, the blue patchwork one works. But, it also reminds me of a karaoke album cover or something...

 

The cover widely used is okay - I'm not a huge fan of it, but my sister loves the dress!

I don't agree, the cover of ANDHC is one of the best ones she has ever done, with a colourful composition (pink/orange dress, blue sea and sky, brown sand and some green grass ). It's almost perfect. And it was made "live" in a real landscape, in a beach (not in a photo studio like some think-you can check it in the ANDHC EP/DVD single that includes the photoshoot).

 

And look to Céline's hair, its so perfect (you have to see it in a poster ).

 

I can only find 3 small mistakes:

1) the tree is quite strange because it becomes narrower suddenly

2) the colour of the sky: its so dark, it could fit better with a lighter color to contrast the sea

3) in the poster of this cover, you can appreciate that they photoshopped the sand and the rocks. It is repeated several times

 

Other than that, I find the cover and backcover of this album precious

They could have released the first version as the cover of a limited edition of ANDHC containing all the songs from One Heart as a bonus...

They even had a second concept for the cover, they wanted to put their expressions into the small frames seen on the original blue cloudy cover but it didn't work out either, unfortunately. The only thing she succeeded with here was to have a photo of hers where she is barely smiling so this was I guess the closest she could get to her initial wish.

I remember that after reading the article I was really excited about the cover cuzz they at last had a concept! I thought WOW! But imagine *my* face expression when I saw an ordinary and poorly retouched (look at the tree behind her) album cover from the beach behind her home in Florida. Pity they abandoned the interesting concept altogether.

How can we love the booklet with all the Celine faces with her son and René? I mean, it's not about the quality of the pictures, if Celine is beautifull or not, if we like or not the pictures. It's just an obvious lack of decency and taste. When I look at them, I feel unconfortable.

 

BTW, I didn't know about the first idea: put different emotions of Celine. That was a really great idea, in comparison to this cover which is full of stereotypes.

I love the ANDHC cover... it's fresh, calming, soothing maybe... a great photo for a after a dark periode...

 

I don't like the clouds.. it looks too cheap! Céline did get her wish on the ANDHC single, which didn't have her face on it... and frankly the best cover of the 3 released singles

 

I still find LTAL her best cover, cos that's absolutly everything she wanted and complety her idea.

I can understand both sides: a part of me really likes this ANDHC package; especially the inside of the booklet is beautiful with the photo montage of Celine, Rene and RC. But the actual cover is somewhat... artificial... ?

It actually looked better in the gray shades of the limited edition package, I think.

 

Maybe they should have done it b/w altogether and use colours in One heart instead...

And I'm speaking from a knowledgeable perspective, rather than defending because "I wwove Celine..."

 

This is not a very complicated photoshoot, but it involved one of my favorite photographs,

THE ELITE PATRICK DEMARCHELIER, maybe the greatest fashion photographer alive.

 

This photograph was shot on-location with additional lighting (notice the shadow). Because of the increased lighting and the increased aperture, the outdoor scenery away from the area affected by the lighting darkens and becomes richer in tone and color.

 

Different films produce different color tones.

 

If Patrick were to have used a digital camera system, it would have been a world-class camera system similar (if not the same) to what I use, and in our software options (I'm not talking about Photoshop - I'm talking about the softwares that are part of the camera system), we can select from the hundreds of options to simulate different films.

 

Celine had beautiful, almost porcelain skin, especially when she's not tanning. Because of this pale pink dress, it makes her skin a little paler as well.

 

Some people have asked about that section below her left elbow, that a little chunk of the tree was cut off. Well, it's a tree folks, and I think, a palm tree. Trees come in many, many unique shapes.

 

Of course there are enhancements done in post-production of these photographs, but it's not the software that makes the photograph great, it's the artist behind the lens.
