As some of you know, I'm a photographic junkie. :P This is some of me self-portracy. I call this experiment "hand over flash". It is what it seems... I stuck my hand in front of the flash and my flesh reflected and gave off a creepy red look that turned out to look quite interesting. :giggle: My fingers, in some images, casted a a shadow line of which I thought gave it a nice depth. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2:

Nice pictures. I think it's cool that you can get those interesting effects with putting your hand over the flash. It gives the pictures a more natural but weird look. I bought a little digital camera about a year ago and I've probably only taken about twenty pictures on the thing an that's including when I went to LV! Like alot of the smaller cameras mine does not have a viewfinder, which I kind of wish it had, since I'm more used to the old school film cameras. I can't get used to just using the LCD screen, and those screens are terrible in sunlight.

Oh well, I better adjust to digital since I don't think film will be around too much longer. I should be like you and just start taking a lot of pictures. ^_^

Ditto what Steve said, I don't like using the LCD screen on my camera plus it eats up the batteries like crazy!

I don't think you'll have to worry about them removing the flash from cameras, at least anytime soon! ^_^[

I love photography too. I got myself a Canon 350D (or XT, in the US) and I've been shooting like crazy :giggle: I uploaded a few of my Vegas pics from last year:

I have to disagree with you, I know at least 3 people that can definately go wrong with a Canon... or any other camera for that matter :giggle: But yes, I'm a Canon fan. Before this one, I had a small A530 poweshot. But I was using a Canon previous from 350D at work sometimes and the A530 just didn't do it for me... So after just 8 months I got the 350D :giggle: I also got another lens for it, besides the kit one which is rubbish. I got the 17 - 85 mm UMS IS lens. Of course, now I feel the need for a flash, for a macro lens, for a zoom lens and so on :giggle: But considering I'm not making any money with this, I'll take it easy... Other wise it would be very rough on my bank account :laugh:

Nice pics! Cute kids and ohhhhh.... that beach! I was supposed to be on the beach right now but I busted my knee and I have to stay in bed with my leg up for at least 2 weeks, so I had to cancel. :crybaby: :crybaby:

I love my LCD screen...I hate looking through the little hole, I don't think I've EVER used it on my camera. Have you ever tried rechargeable batteries? That is what I use in mine, and it saves me A TON of moo-la! :yes:
