I went to see Beyonce's I Am tour this summer in Montreal. Best concert I went to! She gives so much energy, the dancing and singing was amazing, overall very entertaining. No one else can do it like her!

I also went to J.lo and Marc Anthony's concert in 2007. Another great concert!

Enn, I totally agree: Anna Maria Jopek is a GEM!!! :wub: I have all her albums and she's truly one of a few outstanding voices from Poland!

I was so sad when I missed her concert in my area here in Germany in October 2008 as I got a nasty sickness... I keep hoping that she'll come with a concert somewhere here again one day!

Than I've been to some festivals/open airs with very little known artists of them some are still very good, for example Dr. Ring Ding from Germany!

 

In the 90s and early 2000s I've seen a lot of Polish artists/bands that are unknown outside Poland. These were mostly free open air shows or shows taped in studio of regional TV Cracow.

For the Polish people here, I'll name just a few of them:

Antonina Krzysztoń (this one was regular concert with tickets - great singer/songwritter!), Bajm , O.N.A., Anita Lipnicka, Kasia Kowalska, Kasia Nosowska, Piasek, Anja Orthodox, Oddział Zamknięty, Kabaret OT.TO, Tilt, Firebirds, Daab, Skaldowie...

 

In 1,5 week I'm going to see Kelly Clarkson live for the first time (in Cologne).

 

This year I also hope to see Alicia Keys but have no tickets yet.
