Are there LTAL tour concerts in early 1998?

These dates appear on Wikipedia page, but I don't think they are correct 'coz the official site do not have these dates. So, I wonder what website is really correct.

these concerts were a part of the ltal tour. I remember Celine performing in Atlantic City in April 1998, there where big billboards on the NJ turnpike out of nyc promoting the concerts. The tickets were frightfully expensive, probably as much, or maybe a bit less then the vegas tickets are now.

I want to see pics from these shows.

Celine DID NOT tour during the spring of 2008, because it was during the mega media promotion of "Let's Talk About Love" and "My Heart Will Go On" and she was preparing for performances and appearances on many events such as The Oscars, Divas Live 1998, in addition to radio and television talk shows.

 

Celine has not been to Australia ever since 1996 during the "Faling Into You" World Tour.

 

The "Let's Talk About Love" World Tour did not begin UNTIL August 21, 1998.

Celine was booked for a three-night engagement at Atlantic City's Caesar's Palace from April 23 to April 25, 1999, however, this was a few days after she found out about Rene's cancer... so I'm not sure if she was even there to perform. Can someone confirm?

In an interview, Celine said she found something on Rene in the plane when she was going in Dallas or she was in Dallas.. so i'm not sure..

Celine Postpones U.S. Dates After Husband's Cancer Diagnosis

 

In a press statement released Thursday, Celine Dion announced that she will cancel the balance of her tour from April 13 to May 7 to be with her husband and manager, Rene Angelil, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

 

Said Dion in an official statement, "Rene is the biggest priority in my life and I want to be by his side as he continues his treatment. I hope my fans will understand and support me in this difficult situation."

 

Angelil underwent surgery in Dallas last week while Dion was performing in that city. He has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Metastasis (a form of skin cancer) to the right side of his neck. He has since been released from the hospital and will undergo six weeks of radiation therapy.

 

According to doctors, Angelil's prognosis is excellent. When caught early, this form of cancer is rarely life threatening.

 

Dion will perform her scheduled concerts in Houston on Sunday and New Orleans on Monday. Here are the dates Dion is planning to reschedule for the fall:

Now what I want to know is if Celine cancelled her next three performances after Dallas, which were in San Antonio, Memphis and Birmingham...

There is no confirmation anywhere that Celine performed at Atlantic City during her "Falling Into You" Tour. Could it have been a private show that was not part of any tour?

Celine definely performed in San Antonio, Sophoan. I have photos from this show in my collection. And we have the bootleg that was from New Orleans and this was after Memphis and Birmingham so it's likely these shows in the middle went ahead, because we know Celine did the shows immediately after finding out about the cancer even though she didn't want to.

I believe that Celine did do some shows in Australia and in Hawaii in early 1998 for the LTAL promo tour, I remember reading reviews from Remon Rjiper's [anyone remember him?] page, "The Celine Dion Corner". I *thought* I had them saved somewhere but I can't find them.

 

Anyway, the set list I remember basically being the same as the FIY tour but with a few songs from LTAL added, and "MHWGO" was the ending song in both Australia and Hawaii, and I believe in Hawaii she added "LTAL" as well [and it does speak to my obsessiveness that I remember that]. The Australian fan review was done by...oh God, now I'm blanking on his name. I want to say James Moffatt but I'm not sure. Does anyone else remember this page?

I'm pretty sure she never came to Australia in 1998. I was a huge Celine Dion fan in 1998, so I would have gone to her concert if she had one here. I am positive she has not come to Austalia since 1996.

The promo shows I was told about also used a curtained end stage like in those reviews so I guess they are the same ones. I suppose they can't really be classed as part of the LTAL tour since it had an official start date later in the year but they should probably remain on Wikipedia as they are linked the real tour and to the album of the same name.

Wow, interesting. I never knew about those. I don't think the Australian one was part of the tour though, because she would have come to sydney if that was the case.
