Strange

I was watching my video, when I observed something very strange!

In "Le Derniers Seront Le Premieres" song. In the ending when Celine does that "la lari la rirou la lari.." (sorry ) We can see clearly that her voice keeps going, but there is a part where she kisses Jean Jaques without the microfone!! And the lalala is there!

Maybe there are just the background vocalists doing the "lalala"??...

I don't think so... otherwise the backing vocal has an identical voice!

The show was taped over a couple of nights so the audio was probably from one show and the video from another where she did something different. There are other instances where you can see Celine's arm in the air on one shot then on the the next it's down by her side, these are also moments where they've mixed footage from the different shows. There's loads of occurances during ACDS too.

Yeah, it happens a lot in both DVD's. For instance, in ACDS she sings Dans Un Autre Monde and dances around the stage in a clockwise direction but when she sings "et descendre et descendre au fond sur le carreau" it's footage from the second night because she's dancing anti-clockwise in the other direction, before it swaps back again. And later on in the song you can see her on the big screen with her hair pulled behind her shoulders then in the next shot it's lying on her chest and she brushes it back. I think it's easier to tell in ACDS because one night her hair was very sleek and smooth and another night it was stuck behind her ear and looked more messy.

 

Edit: Yeah, it's sad to notice all of these things but I find it really interesting.....lol

Funny! i noticed the same on LAP dvd i didnt think someone else would pay attention to that . its obvious that the audio was fixed.

Stupid SONY didn't bother to fix the LAP DVD, after we pointed out the error on the VHS for so many years!!!

Yeah, I noticed and mentioned that same thing a few years ago. I really cant understand why the people that edit the DVD, dont see that themselves. They really mess things up!

Maybe they intended it to be like that. It doesn't look strange to me, it's obviously mixed footage, and she's so cute kissing JJ

Yes I noticed that in Live A Paris when I first got the video many years ago!! But I hadn't noticed anything strange in ACDS

Hm, I think it DOES look strange when you hear Céline sing and see her kissing JJ... It gives the impression that she was playbacking the song and that does not do her any right.

...I didn't know they used two nights of footage for the Paris concert either...thanks for the info.

 

I hope they don't make mistakes with the Vegas concert--it's so important for them to document this creation perfectly. I know it's impossible to capture the magic to it's fullest. Being there live is just beyond words--but with today's technology and capabilities, they can certainly do an amazing job. I cannot wait for the release of the A New Day DVD! My friends will all be trapped into watching it!
