Question about "O" and other Cirque du soliel shows.

Is it possible to buy a ticket the day of the show and get a good seat.

And are these walk-in purchases more expensive than pre-buying them online.

"O" usually sells out before the day of the show. you can get a really good seat by doing standby (i did it once), but you're going to have to stand there for a couple hours (and you might end up with nothing or a crappy seat). If you don't have tons of time in vegas, I'd get a ticket ahead of time as soon as you know you want to go.

Other shows like KA and Mystere don't always sell out (i heard KA is the worst selling cirque show?), so you could probably get in somewhere even if you decide to go at the last minute. I don't think all 5 cirque shows are usually sold out on any given night. don't know how good a seat you'll get, but the way they set up the theaters, most of the seats are pretty good. All the cirque box offices sell tickets to all the cirque shows, so you could just show up at one the day of, and they could tell you what's available at all the shows for that night and sell you a ticket... you won't have to run all over the strip which is good! :msn-wink:

Ticket prices for cirque are the same online or at the box office (they're good like that, unlike ticketmaster!)

I saw LOVE in April and it was awsome! Going in I wasn`t a huge Beatles fan, but coming out, I loved the music so much I bought the CD! :w00t: We were sitting 3rd row from the stage...it was very cool. In September I`m going to get tickets for Zumanity...anyone ever see that one?

Ok, so I was so excited to think about booking tickets to see "O", and then I saw that video on their website, and it didn't look that great, PLEASE tell me it's better than what they advertise? I mean, I know everyone says that they are awesome, but that just did no justice at all. Which one of Cirque Du Solei's shows are the best??

omg girl your whack

O is a must see. You have to see O first and then see Celine's show, because O is what inspired Celine to make AND. :msn-wink:

Yea, I know that is what inspired Celine, but the video just doesn't look that great to me. I won't be able to go before AND, but maybe after, we are seeing Celine the day after we get there.

ok hun you need to re-arrangeyour itinerary :whistling: :giggle:

Celine's show is the last show to see. trade your tix in for later dates

anyways if you read this whole thread you will see all the praises for "O" so you must go

I cry at the end of "O" because it's so beautiful...haha. i just love the music, and i think it helped me enjoy the show more that i knew all of it for years before i ever even made it to vegas (yeah, i bought the soundtrack because i trusted celine's judgement :giggle: )

maybe search on youtube for 'cirque o' .. people have some longer videos that combine the old promo videos and stuff... might give you a better idea of it.

some people just don't like O, though, honestly. It's not for everyone I guess, but it is seriously my favorite show in the world. If Celine weren't in her own show, it would take hers easily..haha.

i think it depends where you sit, too. the first time i saw it i was in the back of the center front orchestra section, which is basically the perfect place to see it from (i had done standby and those are the seats they put aside for high rollers). everything is just magic from there because you don't see the stage going up and down. one minute people are walking across the water and the next someone is diving straight into it. you miss the transition, so it's just crazy beautiful to see

I will definately check it out! If your not spending a whole ton on "other" shows other than AND, where would you perfer to sit?

Ignore the video on their website. I don't understand why they don't put up a better one... Actually, I do: so that people come to the show and be truely amazed and surprised. Believe me, there's nothing like O. It's more than amazing! Go see it, not because it inspired Celine, but because it's probably one of the most amazing shows you'll ever see.

This is a little tip for "O" for anyone who wants to save $62.15 per ticket...lol.

Get the limited view seats in section 203, row R (there are two seats on either side.. in green on the map below). you're in the center rear orchestra section, so the view is great, but it's considered limited view because of these little skinny rails at the bottom of the stairs (so drunk people don't fall over and hurt themselves.. this is what i'm told! lol). row R is the highest row of the limited view seats so the railings are barely in your view at all (the lower rows would have it worse..). The people directly next to you and behind you are paying $165 (you pay $102.85), so you're only one seat away from the perfect view... needless to say the railings are barely in the corner of your view of the stage.

I sat in 203 row R seats 19 & 20 last fall when i saw it for the second time. I would definitely sit there again and save $$$ :msn-wink:

I would call the box office directly and see if those seats are available & they can hook you up. the computer will only show what IT thinks are the next best seats or whatever... so I always go to the box office. they have access to everything available.

First time i saw the show I was in 203 row L or something, and it's absolutely flawless from there! but, i mean, you can't argue with an extra $120 for the celine store.. and all you have to do is sit a few more rows back :kicking:

Also... If anyone's coming to vegas before sept 30 - grab some $50 tickets to mystere, ka, or zumanity:

I need help from someone! I just looked to see if I could book "O" tickets, and they do not have any after November 28th. Is that the end of that show?

No, that's not the end of the show. They put tickets on sale 3 moths in advance, so you have to wait for September to get tickets for December.
