Photo was taken by Bernard Brault, Canadian photographer, during Pierre LaBelle's funeral on 22 Jan 2000. Pierre was one of René's close friends and a member of Les Baronets.

People have no respect these days. If there's one event where you think you'd have even an ounce of privacy it's a funeral. I mean, photographing Celine getting in and out the car is less offensive but in some of those photos they're praying and that's overstepping the mark. Just like the footage I saw last night on the news where camera crews filmed while the family of Joseph Anzack were told his body had been found in a river. I was shocked they would film this and broadcast this to the world. It's a disgrace.

And while I'm on it, I also find it in bad taste to use photographs from someone's funeral in a forum signature and avatar. I'm not having a go at you personally, Brenda, because I'm sure your signauture means well and you might have personal reasons for wanting to use this kind of photo but these aren't just generic photoshoot pics. She's praying for one specific MAN and not for any other reason. So unless you knew the man and your signature honours him then I don't think it's right to use photos from his funeral to sum up a general theme you're trying to portray. But that's just my opinion, a lot of you may disagree.

The reason I used this pic at this time is for Memorial Day. A day that we remember friends, family, and service members who have died. You may find it tasteless, but I found it rather inspirational ... a way to convey my thoughts of the loved ones that I have lost.

i don't see what's wrong in taking or using the photogrpah. Celine is a public and famous person ,she must expect that. it honors Celine and shows a deep side of her. i think for Brenda to post it simply shows the artisitc side of Celine. it is a good pic.. -_- and it's not dishonoring the man's funeral either. if pics of the man was shown that would be dishonoring, but it's Celine pose that was taken not his.
