Celine on "Sept à Huit" - May 20, 2007

Tonight TF1's "Sept à Huit" at 18h50 will have a special reportage about Céline.

I have the feeling it's going to be good. 7 à 8 is, IMO, a very good show. They usually ask good & interesting questions. I saw an excerpt a few hours ago, and Céline was saying that she's the best at her life right now.

Yes, I like it, the quality of the show approches Envoyé Spécial's. I can't wait to see it.

There is an articolo about Céline and the interview on cyperpresse:

http://www.cyberpresse.ca/article/20070520...070/1017/CPARTS

She makes there a cuple of interesting points:

"You haven't heard my real voice, this one that comes from the inside, the land of my son, the love that I posses. I sing wit my vocal chords but I also have an interior voice. I exist. I am not only a singer.", told the singer with a French accent where one would doubt her Quebec roots.

...

"I am 39. I am at my own best self - she confesses. When you become mother you begin to sing for the genine and for the good."

...

"It was a very long time ago when my vocal chords conducted and dictated my life while now I am the big boss."

...

"Maria Callas follows me and I am seeking her foot steps. I think of her many times when curtain falls." she confessesed before adding that "success isn't always as amazing thing as people think"

That was just brilliant. Wonderful interview. Absolutely wonderful. Celine is a brilliant woman.

You can see how confident she feels now. I loved this interview because it makes us feel closer to her. She is, afterall, a woman like me and other thousands on this board and millions around the world who has fears, who feels empty sometimes, who has been through difficult times in her relationship and worked it out, who is in love, who has dreams and knows what she wants from life.

This makes me respect her even more, knowing the woman behind the voice. And maybe this is why I love this album so much, because I can feel the connection between her and the music and I guess we can see ourselves in so many things she is singing about, not really literally but the essence of it.

I can't believe it is time for the start of the coverage of D'elles, hopefully Celine won't run herself ragged promoting and make herself sick while doing her Vegas show!

That was a good reportage. I like what she said about A Cause

"Si la passion s'en va c'est à nous d'essayer de faire revivre tout ca"

That's the message of the song. To not give up on love, but to go for it, to fight for it. To show this strong conviction and belief in it. :in_love:

No. She said Rene still intimidates her, that he's the only man she's ever been with and that she insists that'll be the case for the rest of her life (that he'll always be the only man). She said that if there's something wrong with a couple, it's up to the woman to revive the love. She says there's nothing missing to her happiness and that she could very well live without all the money, the songs, the albums etc, because she has what's important in life. She says that maybe people do hear her inner voice when she sings, and that's why people like her so much (she had said earlier in the interview that we've never heard her inner voice... someone translated it in a previous post). She said she wishes she could have given some of her happiness to Maria Callas, that Callas fascinates her because her story makes her suffer.
