If he thinks she's a diva then he expected her to behave like that and that's why he interpreted it in that way, just to fit his preconceived image, but we all know she's not like that and we're the ones who really matter to her anyway. I'm sure Celine was aware of his negative comments about her to the press (before this one!) and probably just wanted to get away from him while still acknowledging him... I think she did the right thing!! Anyone who disses Celine ends up hurting their own career... Quote
