This song got a lot of anticipation. Celine singing one of the most famous 19th century French writers. In that relation it is rather disappointing. Maybe you have to be devoted to this kind of writing, hearing things like "ce n'est pas un glaçon ou une pierre" or "il n'y a au monde que l'amour qui soit quelque chose." The other thing is, there is so much overwhelming emotion put into those words, and Céline is putting this quite monotonous whining whispery voice over the lot of it. There are so many colours shining in this letter, I don't feel any of them when she sings. Even Vole had more charisma. Sorry, maybe it will grow over the years.
