Hmm the first time I heard Celine's voice, I was at the funural of my uncle. He past away in 1996, in a car accident and was very young. At his funural they played The Power Of Love. I was very sad and when I heard that song, it was the first time and I didn't knew Celine Dion yet, I was stoned by her voice

When I was a kid I watched Beauty and the beast allll the time, so that's probably the first time I heard her. I even remember sitting in front of the tv and singing along and making up words, cause I didn't speak English back then.

The next time was the Olympics in 96, I remember them showing a music video type of thing, I haven't seen it since, but I think it was Céline in a blue, silky, flowing dress singing the Power of the dream...then again I might have dreamt it all? And I adored it, but I didn't become a fan until I heard MHWGO.

Pretty much the same here, I've heard because you loved me on the radio before but never knew who that voice was! I then found out through a chatroom on AOL Titanic started my obsession with her.. soon bought all the English albums and from there, became obsessed

Well well... the first time? I was pretty much a baby... LOL! It was back in 1988, I was eight and I was watching the eurovision song contest... for us that contest was one of the things that made the country (Portugal) stop... but not anymore. Anyways I loved a lot her song and her singing. I made my mum buy the mini k7 with 6 songs in it (I MADE HER BUY IT IN 1991 - SEE HOW I KEPT CELINE IN MY MIND? I saw the k7 in a coffee and asked her to buy it for me, still have it today) but I soon forgot her... because the next year a new song, new singer... and I was 8 for god sakes... I was singing along with them phonetically (just like Celine did in her early english performances). Then only in 1993 in December I was able to listen to Think Twice for the very first, wich didn't caught my attention right away... it only touched me the 14th of February 1994. Oh well and I wrote almost a book to say that I first listened to her when I was 8... LOLOL!

When was the first time??? Hmm... The first song what I heard from her was the Immortality(live - 1998) in the tv! I just saw her in that stage with Bee Gees! I said: "Who is this?" "She's really good, and I like it"! And thank God for that day, because tha day was when I started to like her! Now, I adore her! And she's the best!!!!!!

In 1995 my brother celebrated his 18th birthday... I was 10. I decided to buy somehting for him, with my own money, without the help of my parents...

I chose to buy the cassette of "D'eux", because he was always talking about that Céline Dion I had never heard about!!!

 

And then, when he got it, he made me discover that singer... and I felt in love with Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore, with the voice, with the album... with Céline and her music...

And it goes on and on!!
