A MJ Blige's fan said, in a music forum, that in US, there is a rumor about a duet between Celine & MJ Blige.

 

Have you heard something about that ? What do you think about a possible duet between them ?

I hope its just a rumor ,Mary J to my opinion is a screamer and lucky public person, I do not like her style and her singing is horrendous,almost seems to me that she has no preparation before going on stage, i see lack of discipline, and many go crazy when she starts jumping around and acting like a complete fool, I think she has no class and just another R&B singer who got lucky and maybe her pass has a lot to do with it, many are sympathetic with her as they share the same life experiences from the past . I hope its just a rumor.

I like Mary J Blige when she's not exagerating, trying to hit notes so out of her reach. I like her duet with Bono, for example. But I know Celine is a fan of her. I don't know what I'd think about this to be honest- I don't really rate MJB at all- she's a soul singer that's for sure but I think her style is way off Celine's- which is what I like obviously. I'd say this is just a rumour anyhow and they've taken it from Annie Lennox's duets album... for some reason I'd really like Celine to duet with Justin- I think it'd be cool for her to do something on her side of R n B (i.e no naked coochies on show) and they'd be good to look at in a well produced vid. Dreaming again (p.s I've just spent £160 for 2 Justin VIP Dance Club tickets for one of his Dublin shows in July- we're gonna be right at the stage with bar service! I couldn't get Belfast tickets- yeeha! Me and my boyf are going to try and assault him- in a rude way, not violently...unless that's what he's into...)

I think I'd like that if that were true... Mary has an incredible voice and the song would become a hit, especially if it's around the time one of them is promoting something... When Mary recorded One with Bono, it was the time when U2 had come to Brazil and all the fans were going crazy. It was a tremendous success here and promoted U2 as well as Mary. I don't agree with those who think Mary has a better voice than Annie Lennox. I don't know what it is--but I think Annie Lennox captures the emotion of everything she sings. I adore the woman.

 

I'm sure this is only a rumour because they both will be on Annie's duet album!

I think this is a rumour too. Mary is awsome though, she has a lot of soul. When I was auditioning for American Idol a few years back I was walking by her rehearsal studio and I could hear her. She sounded amazing!
