What if Celine never was....

I was just watching the Lifetime Intimate Portrait of Celine, and I found one part particularly interesting:

 

Celine's mother was excited to start a career when all of her children started school, then she found out she was pregnant with Celine. I know that her mother never would have thought about it--but what if she aborted Celine? Can you imagine this world?!

 

And it really makes you think about who could have been---but there life was ended before it begun.

 

I'm not trying to start a topic on abortion, but I am trying to start a topic on "what if Celine never was..."

 

Maybe I'd have more time on my hands!

I think we'd all have more time on our hands, and more money but fortunately Celine Dion "is". So although we spend hundreds of dollars (some of us spend thousands!) on her, everything we feel about her is "priceless". If Céline never was:

 

- I wouldn't have spent hours in front of the TV watching Beauty and the Beast and only to see the clip at the end

- I wouldn't have had because you loved me as my swimming classes soundtrack

- I would never have danced Because you loved me in my dance classes when I was 10.

- Titanic wouldn't have gotten a musical Oscar

- I would have never had My heart will go on in my English classes

- I would have never listened to the radio troughout the day just to listen to this song over and over again

- My aunt would never have bought All the way... A decade of songs, therefore I would have never listened to it

- I wouldn't translate all her songs I could from that Cd, therefore not gaining so much vocabulary

- I wouldn't have known by heart To love you more in Portuguese

- I wouldn't have thought Céline's career was over and that my dream of seeing her life would never come true

- I wouldn't have screamed like hell when I saw she was going to be interviewed by a famous Brazilian program, letting my cousins, aunt and uncle think I was crazy

- I wouldn't have cried when I heard RC had been born and Céline was fine and going back to work

- The administrators would never have created this forum, therefore we would never have this thread.

- I wouldn't have made friends with wonderful people around the world

- I wouldn't be saving all I have during a year just to go to Vegas

- I wouldn't dream as much as I do now, because Céline is the one who has always made me believe in my dreams and achieve them, and when they're done find others to live in.

 

Conclusion: My life would be, in fact, half a life...

 

Thank you God, for sending us Céline!!

I totally agree with you all and i wouldn't have gone through the things i have in my life and her music has totally help me allot with the things in the world i would have gone crazy but thank goodness for Celine.

Actually, I think I'd probably still be listening to quality music. I have a lot of artists of various genres from pop/rock to jazz to classical to standards that I enjoy, so I guess, if Celine had decided not to become a singer, I think I still would be a listener of music of integrity and quality.

 

It's so hard to imagine Celine being anything else besides this.

Even if she was flipping burgers at the age of 25, she would still be discovered somehow, and would be catapulted to worldwide fame and honor; and become an international superstar. This is HER DESTINY.

Well, this could get complicated, but if Celine "never was", then we would have never been either! Just one thing different in time, would knock the ENTIRE world's history off. It really is weird to think about. Also, true Catholics do not believe in abortion, nor do they believe in birth control. My best friend is Catholic, so I know this from knowing her my whole life. I read in "My Story, My Dream", that Celine's mother was kind of upset when she found out she was pregnant AGAIN, she was just looking forward to vacation time and finishing raising the children that were on their way growing up...but she wouldn't have ever aborted! But, I do know what your saying...If there wasn't ever a Celine...then I would be completely lost...part of the reason I am here today, is because of Celine....no joke.

- Sony would be bankrupt

- René would be a lawyer

- Caesars Palace would have demised

- I would never have been in Las Vegas

- Thérèse would probably still live in the little house in Charlemagne

- My Heart Will Go On would have never existed and would have been an instrumental track

- I wouldn't have met many of my best friends

- I would have never been introduced to French-language music

- I would have never met one of the world's greatest artists

- Meatloaf would 'own' It's All Coming Back To Me Now

- I would have an empty spare room

Wow what a thought!

If Celine was never around...I would definitely be richer lol, but most of all, I`m not so sure I would have an artist to look up to as much as her. I feel like she`s a mentor to me and without her...I`m not sure what I would aspire to. I`ve had other heros of course, but it just isn`t the same. I think the world would be very different without Celine in our lives. We all love you Celine!
