Der_Griffon Posted April 17, 2007 at 08:18 PM Posted April 17, 2007 at 08:18 PM Ok, first off, I know this is odd, but I know that there are many people from the UK here, so I figured it wouldn't hurt telling a story and asking a question, now, would it? I got accepted at the SOAS (School for Oriental and Asian Studies) in London to do an MA in Chinese Ceramics , which in itself is wonderful but expensive... So, as there was no information on anything concerning Scholarship/Financial Aid/anything else of the sort on the website of the University, or on the documents I got, I figured that I could apply for funding with the AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Center). And I did. The thing is that the applications have to go through to institution one would be studying at first and then they are approved and sent to the AHRC. My application was sent two weeks ago. See, the problem is that I had contacted the university on multiple occasions before about this financial issue and nobody bothered answering, which I found utterly rude and irresponsible. Only today I got an e-mail from this very silent Scholarships Office telling me that there had been an internal deadline for those applications on the 16th of March, so they are very sorry and blah-blah-blah, and I should look for other sources of funding. And, as I am not ready to give up on my dream yet, I was hoping that somebody might know about any such source that might still save my day... Otherwise I would have no chance but to give up Quote http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj229/Der_Griffon/SIGNATURE-1-1-1.jpg March 15th and 16th 2011, Las VegasThank you Celine and thank you friends! I truly had the time of my life!
