brasilero Posted May 5, 2007 at 06:47 PM Posted May 5, 2007 at 06:47 PM (edited) haha... I just love Celine to death...even though it was a serious and devasting event...I like to look back and laugh when she says "Cheese Whiz" ok ok...so it was Geez Whiz...but still it sounded like Cheese WhizNot at all. it sounded like GEEZ WHIZ. i dont know where people get this from. they like to make things up to tease Celine's accent! Yeah- I was talking about it in the Elvis topic. She looks so thin. I know she's stressed, but I hope she takes time for herself or this year will be unbarable. I don't know what they were thinking with ALL of this stuff in 2007.yea i said this in the american idol thread and no one agreed with me, glad to see some of you are now. OMG on that last pic she reminds me of karen carpenter hell no. KC was skelton-skinny. Well... don't know. I agree that in 1996 she was extremely thin! Hate that, but since when she started AND, seh got a great body. Just look at her pics at the beach. But NOW, looks like she lost weight again... But I don't think she is as thin as she was in 98 for example. Her body is still very nice right now. And... Anorexia? I know that you didn't say SHE HAS IT... But.... NO! If Giselle Bünchen doesn't have anorexia, Celine can't have. lol. i also mentioned that Celine was being burnt out with the new world tour schedule and that it isbecoming reminiscentof how she got in 1996-1999, but again when i mentioned it no one backed me up saying that Celine wasnt pushing too hard. so i'm glad to see that people are starting to see things my way vinny i think u didnt understand it actually . those 2 remarks were as offensive as it can get - they were laughing on how she said all of those great things about larry , u r not telling a woman - "sounds like u lost your virginity to him" - in some places that's even a sexual harassment , not to mention when u r saying it towards an icon like celine . he just said it to his other friends there while everyone laughed and she just kept talking and never heard it i think Celine talked too much. she should not be so open and vulnerable to strangers... people like Bill maher who is a comedian i might is an a****** bellamy - i can get the joke but i can also get the diffrence between a joke and this .we can ask americans who watched this clip - honestly , dont u feel uncomfortable regarding those remarks? i didnt feel uncomfortable. well ted , i dont care who he is - he should not talk to celine or anyone else for that matter like this .the fact that he is insulting his other guests does not mean we should just live with it well that is his schtick. he's sarcastic, bitter, jaded, and he's a comedian. so i'm not surprised. he's like that with everyone. but yeah i was like that was kinda rude, but i wasnt offended by the virginity comment, thatwas ok, but ther part where he said that "apparently Celine didnt have to save her voice for tonight"was kinda rude and offensive because Celine has a tendency to ramble on. american tv shows dont like that but of course Celine was coming from a genuine placein her heart which as i said before she has to restrain herself in front of vultures like bill maher Edited May 5, 2007 at 06:51 PM by brasilero Quote

You're right. When I saw that for the first time I was like: "What did he say?" and I felt a little uncomfortable for her... But as you said, thanks God, she didn't listen to that stupid comment. Overall the interview was great but I did think that the comment by Bill Maher was was in bad taste BUT he isa comedian so I was not that surprised. I don't think Celine heard it and she probably would have deflected it anyways. I've never been a big fan of Mr Maher but at least he did admit to seeing the show and he was kind of joking about how he was crying during it. Quote

LVCeline Posted May 6, 2007 at 04:28 AM Posted May 6, 2007 at 04:28 AM Quite honestly the only thing that made me a bit uncomfortable watching that was how much Celine was rambling on and on about her love for Larry King. Lets be honest here, it's Larry King, not Jesus Christ! She was going on like he was the biggest person on the face of the earth! And her going on about singing all the songs, and blah blah blah...Man they couldn't get a word in edgewise. I thought Bill's comment was spot on and actually hilarious! The way she was going on, you'd of thought she did everything but lose her virginity to him. Anyway, I thought she looked really nice, and it was a nice gesture, but girlfriend needed to compose herself instead of gushing and rambling the whole time! Quote

Love, Posted May 13, 2007 at 08:28 AM Posted May 13, 2007 at 08:28 AM I just watched the Larry King 50th Anniversary tribute video and interview with Celine and upon reading the previous 3 pages of this thread... this is me: and and and and Okay, here are some of my inputs! #1: Celine IS fit! VERY FIT! She trains daily and is heavily active... she looks her best now. She appears skinny because that is her normal self and because the cameraman used a standard zoom lense versus many times when the cameraman would use a wide-angle lense, which makes really does make people look bigger because it stretches the image horizontally, slightly. #2: All of those people surrounding Larry King MOST DEFINITELY have seen "A New Day..." and LOOOVED IT! #3: They were engaged in a highly informal adult conversation... with the icebreaker Comedian Bill Maher. Bill was former host of a comedic television show "Politically Incorrect." He's even been dropped from a contract because of one of his controversial remarks. This guy is always saying things to spark controversy. It's his life! And he's surrounded by a female version of him - Kathy Griffin... but let's not go there... #4: Bill Maher's "cry" comments were sincere. Bill appears rough and rowdy because for him as an entertainment entreprenuer, "it sells!" However, he must have a heart somewhere! His compliments were truly from that heart. #5: What's up with the "flying piano?" Why is that so "amazing"? Why are people always talking about it? #6: Celine and Rene are very good friends with Larry and Shawn King. There were two publicized events where Celine attended to Larry (1999 - Larry's Birthday that Celine attended) and Larry to Celine (2005 - "A New Day..." Mother's Day Concert - Larry was Master of Ceremony). I'm sure the two families have had several private get-togethers. For Celine to be over-emotional is NORMAL, and for her to express her love in such a passionate and compassionate way especially for a friend of hers is NORMAL. I would do it too! #7: 50 YEARS IN BROADCASTING! HOLY SMOKES! FIVE... ZERO... YEARS! That's more than double of how long I have existed on earth. This is an incredible achievement and commmitment! Larry King is an icon himself - a legendary television personality. I'd be star-strucked to be on Larry King Live! #8: This show was for one person and one person only: LARRY KING. He deserves the honor and praises! Each of us have our time to shine! Quote
