Help me with youtube videos

Recommended Posts

I usually download videos from Youtube using VDownloader. I save them .mpg. But, for some unknown reason I can't watch it on Windows Media Player. It just won't work. It freezes my computer. I can only watch it with VLC player.

Now I need some videos from youtube to make a montage for a school project but they won't work on Windows Movie Maker, not even VCDCutter. It just freezes the whole thing and closes.

Do you know what this means? Am I missing a codec? What codec? What on earth is going on? Please help!!!! I need to work on these videos desperately!

Youtube video is not MPEG no matter what filename you fgive it. It's .flv format. Only few players like VLC can play it. Media Player can never play videos from Youtube.
