Hi everyone! I have a question: I was just wondering how many copies of One Heart have been sold since it was released..? I'm not how did I got this idea but I've always had feeling that it was kind of a flop..? comparing for example to A New Day Has Come.. :shrug:

About 7 MILION $! It wasn't so bad!

It was the 10th best selling album in 2003

in the stage the music scene is currently in it's hard to dermine what is a flop nowerdays!

more and more people are downloading rather than buying. It certainly sold much less than A New Day Has Come but I didn't even know about this album until i became fan which was about 6 months later from its release! It barely got promoted.

But yet, when comparing to someone who's promoting a lot and releasing a lot singles say Christina. Her latest album Back To Basics has a total sales worldwide of 3.7 million. (according to wikipedia...not the most reliable but i'm using it ). Now one heart sold 6.5 million world wide.

So to me One Heart is a flop for Celine, but is it an overall flop to the music scene...NOPE! :wink:

I think around 7 million. It was a little risky, kind of a turning point for Celine. But I loved it. :wub:

According to 25 ans d'amour magazine, there have been 8 million copies of One Heart album sold :thumbsup2:

I think it's quite much, as for the present situation in the music industry :rolleyes:

I love that album, especially I drove all night. it still keeps me going. i think it was a good solid album. maybe it was not well publisized like ANDHC and LTAL, but i have seen planty ads on tv (chrysler) that featured her songs. and if you look at the people's reaction when she goes into that song in ANDLILV show, they are pumped. and what a cool move for dancing:):)

Even though this album was under publicized. It did make a lot of sells around the world though.

I thought the reason celine made One Heart was for Chrysler and her opening of a new day.. they need some catchy and new music for that..

Even though it's kinda off topic, I was wondering if there are ANY limited editions of this album whatsoever, with bigger booklets with more pics, more songs, or just anything...?

not bad for album with only one singel, which was famous only in europe.

but it was the biggest Celine flop in the music industry i think, and there are many radio stations which didnt played I Drove All Night cause they dont like it :evil:

it could have sold a lot more with propper promotion! :evil:

IDAN was totally rejected by the dutch radio stations! Too 'uptempo' for the AC stations, too lame for the 'HIP' stations... cos it was Céline :glare:

and another big mistake they made was cancelling the release of HYEBIL!! :evil: :evil: the video actually got played on the music channels, unlike OH, and even some radio stations played it... the single was about the be released and then sony made the STUPID decision to cancel it :blowup:

the album sold in fact between 5.5 and 6 million copies. it shipped 8 million.

Well in fact there are two kinda special editions...in america they had the longbox edition...which for the rest of the world is rare and hard to find! and then also in america they have a special edition 20 page booklet edition which i brought thinking it was different to the uk normal one....its not its misleading lol its just the same however it does have a chrysler advert in it so its different to me. i hope that answers your question better than a NOPE! :bye1:

I think "one heart" is good album, but not one of the best - it's not only my opinion. The best song for me is Have You Ever Been In Love - it's my favourite song form "One Heart" and "A new day has come". This song could be a HIT :kicking:

Thanks for this! I now recall reading about a logbox edition before. What is it like? Could you give me a better description of it? Could I find it online?

While I'm at work...I ALWAYS hear IDAN and YAI and also ANDHC! I love it...every time it comes on I think to myself "Yea, Celine you are with me always" :wub:
