Love-Trust & Sickness @ Celine's show

Hi! Here's a kind of joke i've found on the net about a couple attending Celine's show.

Some say love is about romance. But many, like me, are awkward with the romance-thing.

I think love is about something else: Trust.

Doctor: "Do you take vitamins?"

Me: "Yes."

Doctor: "What vitamins do you take?"

Me: "I don't know. My wife hands me pills, and I take them."

Doctor: "How do you know she's not giving you arsenic? Wives have been getting rid of husbands for years with arsenic. Do you still write about her in that column?"

Me: "All the time."

Doctor: "When all your hair falls out, we'll check you for arsenic."

I trust my wife. And she trusts me.

Our trust was apparent recently when we attended a romantic Celine Dion concert in a 4,000-seat theater in Las Vegas. Before the show, a TV camera panned the audience and put images of people on a huge screen.

Me: "If the camera stops on us, I'm going to kiss you."

Wife: "You have a cold."

Me: "You wouldn't turn me down in front of 4,000 people just because of a cold ... Would you?"

It wasn't a wise question.

Me: "You won't get my cold. Trust me."

The camera caught people in silly poses. The cameraman responded by sticking his hand in front of the lens and giving them a thumbs-down sign that appeared on the screen.

Suddenly, we were on the screen. I leaned toward my wife and gave her a quick kiss.

I looked at the screen. The cameraman's hand motioned for me to take it to the next level. So I put my arms around my wife, hugged her and gave her a big romantic kiss.

The cameraman gave me the thumbs-up. The audience broke out into long, loud applause.

As soon as the camera panned away, my wife wiped the cold germs off her lips.

Me: "I thought you trusted me."

Wife: "I do. I trust you to give me your cold."

Me: "But for once I was romantic, right?"

Wife: "You were romantic."

Yes!

The only problem now is that ever since that night every time I kiss her I keep expecting her to give me a huge applause. And I'm still waiting.

Maybe the doctor had a point.

I should just be happy all my hair isn't falling out.

"And really - isn't NOT caring about what others think of you the hallmark of a cool person?"
