5 years of Celine!

Well, I just thought I'd share this with you all who are as excited about and love Celine as much as me...

 

 

It was 5 years ago today that I became a Celine fan!! I watched Larry King Live on March 26th 2002 to see Celine coming back form her hiatus with her new CD, A New Day Has Come. I was so enraptured by it that I went out and bought the CD the very next day. I always tell people that I was meant to be a Celine Dion fan because I never, ever watched Larry King and I had heard of Celine before but was too young during the 90's to actually care about one particular artist. It all changed that night and now 5 years later, I'm spending the day celebrating Celine! :kicking:

That's kind of interesting. About 5 years ago is when I became a fan too! I'd always liked her, but I guess I was just to young to really appreciate any of her music. ANDHC was my favorite song of hers, and still remains one of my favorites.

Mine will be on April 30. Yes, I first saw her at the Eurovision when I was only 5 and it was love at first sight! Even if I don't remember it anymore! My fanniversary is fun because Celine also celebrates the April 30 but for other (sexy) reasons! But YAY ME, next year I'll be a fan of 20 years. That's someting!!!

 

I only became fanatic (collecting, buy, screaming fan) when I was on my early teens and had money to indulge in some Celine stuff. But the first time is the most important! And the most unforgetable! Just ask Celine

I've been very familiar with Celine since Unison...just because of my mom. So I've literally grown up with her music. I remember my mom would blast Love Can Move Mountains to get me out of bed in the first grade. And here I am about to be a junior in college! So I've had a nice, long relationship with Celine....she just doesn't know it!

Congrats on your 5 years!! For me, it will be December 25th this year. That will mark 15 years for me! WOW that is going on 2 decades! My sister, however, has been a fan since Unison came out!! She got to see her when she toured with Micheal Bolton...and NOBODY knew who she was yet here!! I hope Celine lives forever because I won't know what to do when she stops making music!! Can you guys even imagine such a day? That will be soooo sad

I think there will be a time when Celine stops for a while---and it will come after something tragic happens, like when Rene passes on. But I can't imagine she will ever completely stop. Singing has to be such a calming, stress relieving activity for her. It's what she's always had, and she will always have her gift. And after Rene is gone, I think she'll probably release some of her most emotional, beautiful, and personal work. But I hope that day doesn't come for many, many, many years. They are such a wonderful family.
