Am I planning to see Celines show on 18 MAY... someone else?

I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THOSE WHO VISITED THIS SHOW:

-when I arrive at 7 PM by plane, is it far from Airport to get to Palace? Will I be able to be there untill 8:30 when it starts? And how long does it last? Pls let me know.

of course it is worth it!!!! Celine is the best. I personally like the current version on a new day the best. RDMH is the bomb and Celine is one hot mama in that dress. the show goes abot 90 minutes and usually starts like 10 minutes to 9 pm. you have plenty of time to get from the airport , well, not plenty but enough cause vegas traffic sucks. i hope that your plane is on time thou. have a great show!

It is totally worth it. You will be pretty tight on time though. I was in Vegas in March for the show and I waited more than 1/2 for a taxi. My baggage was carry on, however, I have heard that baggage claim is slow in Vegas and you will be there right at the beginning of the summer break. I would try to arrange a limo to pick you up from the airport. It is a little expensive, however, I think it will save you a good amount of time. Also keep in mind that check in at the hotel may take a while and if you want to change or something since you are traveling from overseas (I think). It's possible you'll be able to make it on time. But, yeah, the baggage claim is very slow and there are always tons of people waiting for their bags. You could try taking one of the shuttles, but the hotel is mid-way down the strip, so that might take too long. It'll be tight for sure, but good luck!!!

If you are, i would say to use their airport check in thing (i think it's in the baggage claim area..) and get your room key, then go grab your luggage. Definitely take a cab and not one of the shuttles (i always took them when i visited lv, but they'll probably stop at four other places first to drop people off..). When I flew back after Christmas, I only had to wait a couple minutes for a cab, but sometimes there's a line so that could slow you down.. also if there's a line at Caesars check in.. and depending how fast they let you off the plane... etc etc

 

If your flight is always on time, and there are no other major hold ups, you can get there in time.

 

The actual distance between the airport and Caesars isn't far at all. I drive it everyday because i go to school next to the airport, and when there's no major traffic, it's definitely less than 10 minutes. Friday nights can have some crazy gridlock, though. it's hit or miss.

I will be on D.C. that time, and I was thinking of taking flight that arrive to LV on 7 PM, will have just carry on luggage - so no need to wait for suitcase. Still do not know where I will be staying - is there a change to store handbag in Caesars (as they would not let me go in with handluggage insight).

Was as well thinking of taking on a way back flight @ 11:50 PM, but this would not be probably possible - or it would be as well tough. Or adivices to rather stay one more day in LV? What can be seen there except Celine and casinos?

To get a flight back the same night at 11:50pm would be pushing it as well. You'd be far better off staying the night, McCarren airport can have huge lines to check in and yet more huge lines to get through security. As for your baggage, I'm sure Caesars would store it for you no problem.

 

Vegas has lots to offer, so if you were to stay an extra day or two you certainly would not be bored. On the strip itself, there are lots of rollercoaster rides, shows, shops and sight seeing to do. The casinos themselves are a sight to behold - each displaying their own themes with free shows e.g. Bellagio fountains, Treasure Island pirate show etc etc. The list is endless... Nearby there are also many natural wonders to go and see, Grand Canyon, Death Valley etc.

 

Take a look at www.vegas.com this website is packed full with information on what Las Vegas has to offer. And like the others said above, get a taxi - quicker than shuttles. Bell Trans offers cheap limos from $44 and other forms of transport as well.

i would advice to take an earlier flight to Vegas that the one that arrives at 7pm. you can always go on standby. as for going back the same night at 11:50 pm you may be in trouble. last time i tried that.... well, the show ended at 11:10 or so, then it took me forever to run through a crowd so i was outside the casino at 11:30 and the cab wait was 30 minutes....so by the time i made it to the airport i missed my midnight flight.... you might want to go back the next morning. that way you don't need a hotel.

the song list has been changed a few times. she sings in english, french and italian. it is a beautiful show. cannot compare to cher's show but i am sure that celine's is better. cher and celine? nah.... our girl RULLLLEZZZ!

Barbary Coast is cheap (weekends are more expensive) and pretty nice rooms and it's right across from the Caesars Palace.

I stayed at the Barbary on January and I liked it...if you are staying just overnight I don't think that you need extra super nice room.

 

oh..just found out that it's not Barbary Coast anymore, the new name is Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon.
