Yes, that's for sure! But when you asked simple questions about politics or geography, a LOT of American people can't answer. I'm French and I lived in the US for a few months with some friends, and we asked are US friends who were the French president, or things like that, most of them didn't know. But I don't say they're not intelligent, it's just that a lot of them doesn't really pay attention to what's going on in other countries.Here, if you ask who's the American president, I guess you'll find 99.99% people able to answer that! (But again, I don't say we are more intelligent, it has nothing to see with that). I also think it depends on what the media show you... Quote

Where is the Berlin Wall?? North/South Korea as Australia & Tasmania?! Australia with France & Iran printed on it and people believed it and stuck the pin in..it's probably not real but it's very funny. btw: Nelemy I agree on one point: We shouldn't believe everything the media says, especially on America. If you asked 100 people in any country the same question on the street, not all of them would get it right no matter where you are. It's about the culture you live in. In France the ability to critique is prized, and everybody knows things about politics, but you would know that people aren't brought up the same way in America.
