Sneaking Cameras into the Colosseum

Hi guys, just wondering. I am attending A New Day soon and was wondering what is the best way of sneeking a camera and mp3 recorder into the show. Do they have security to scan bags etc, what goes on to prevent you from getting cameras in etc. I really want to take my picture inside the theatre but need help. Those of you who have been and done it already, how did you do it? What's the best way. Please let me know. Thanks a lot!!

They searh all bags and handbags. They do offer to take yyour photo infront of the stage or at your seat. You can then purchace the photo in a very nice album after the show for $40.00. It is worth it as all proceeds go to the Celine Dion Foundation. I forgot a camera in My suit Jacket and the alarms at the front entrance went off. Also a woman next to us pulled out just a camera phone and tried to smeek a photo and within seconds security was there and confiscated her phone and escorted her out of the show. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Don't worry, the DVD will be out this fall.

Hey guys...I just wanted to throw this out there...not that I want to do this or anything, but I do know that people get away with it, because there are even videos of her show during the show while she is singing that someone filmed from maybe the 2nd mezz. Anyways, and actually one of our own on the forum took pics from a couple of rows back, because I remember when she posted them on here. Ok, so not everyone gets caught I guess...tricky buisness...personally I wouldn't try it because I don't want to be escorted out of the show...and loose my priveledge to see my idol singing!

well i managed to get mine inside here's the trick.

it's a very slim camera (casio exilim wearable card camera) so i put it inside a glasses case. i purchased some stuff at the celine boutique before the show so i had a plastic bag from the store. i simply put the camera in and it got through unnoticed by security. They do ask if you have cameras. You just need to be good lier :blushing:

Then once in my seat front row :clap: i made a hole in the bag big enough for the lense of the camera to see . and i put the bag in my lap and that's how i did it. here's the video of celine talking about RC. enjoy!

That won't work now, you are not allowed to bring bags in, you have to check them in.

Ah that's sad... I really want to bring cams in. But that's fine I shall see if they take a good picture of me or not and if it's nice I'll probably pay $40.

I COMPLETELY agree..I have never tried to sneak in a camera, nor will I ever...it is so not worth the risk. I'd rather see the whole show than get kicked out...not cool!

Yeah, they tag your camera and you pick it up at the ticket counter after the show.

I actually snapped a few pics with my cell phone camera before the show, but I didnt dare try during the performance.

Thanks for the advice. It will be an additional effort if Im going back to the hotel just to leave my camera. Hehehe.

I was actually thinking of the same idea as well. I have to prove to my friends that I saw Celine live. Cant wait and getting too excited for December. Hehehe.

If Theres No Flash Than The best time to take the picture of Celine is durning the bows and Celine does that bow thing-y on the floor

I was thinking of bringing a voice recorder to at least record the final show...but if they escort you out and don't let you back in if they catch you then it's definitely not worth it. Besides, isn't there a CBS special currently in the works? Edited August 16, 2007 at 04:40 AM by idroveallnight

I think there is a CBS TV special in the works but they may make it the same version as the DVD in December which pisses me OFF I want the Final to be on TV because i cant attend i dont know i pretty mad about this

No, not with Celine..lol Unless your one lucky person, if she did that for one person, all 4,000 would be carrying her off to the streets wanting her to take photos with them! :doh: It would be to crazy! She will not dare come out of those exit doors with the dancers/musicians! :nono:

That would be awesome, but I still wouldn't want to pull out my camera phone in front of everyone and try to get a pic of her even in the end! I'd be scared of people making rude comments to me! :ermm: :angry2:

Ya It Would b/c all hardcore Celine fans will buy the DVD and will watch the TV special and i will tape it on tv and i dont want the same performance...THEY MAKE ME MAD..I SAY lol

They should at least allow us to bring non-flash cameras, camcorders, voice recorders for the final week of the show. They were worried about keeping the show new for everyone and now they won't have to worry because it will be over soon.

i definitely dont care about cameras etc etc. i will want pics of outside the ceasers and by the huge sign or something but to be honest i wanna see the show and take it all in. I hate in when people are taking pictures in a theatre, it's really annoying :evil: ....unless you cant tell that is!

anyway, i wouldnt want the embarrasment of being escorted out! :nono:

Yep, I'm definately NOT doing it...as bad as I'd love a pic of Celine...I'll just try my best to ask around before and after the show if there is any chance of meeting her (even though probably not), not worth risking getting kicked out of the show! I paid to much money for this trip! :wacko:

You are so right Kim....But a picture of Celine would be such a great souviner...but when i was in your place in 2005 i would just happy to be there and i took out my cellphone a couple of times but i chickened out...but word of advice if you are going to take a pic do it durning the weird bow-thingy Celine does at the end of MHWGO the boe she's praticlly on the floor...

As of right now, no I'm not...but who knows...miracles happen. I was trying to plan and see if I could be there from November 28th through December 16th, but I'm thinking probably not, because of my job, and my Mom already has to be back by Dec 6th, so I'd be there by myself and everything...It stinks though, I'd love too. Who knows, though... :hmm:
