#1fanforever Posted March 8, 2007 at 12:16 AM Posted March 8, 2007 at 12:16 AM (edited) me and antoinette my husband, me, michel, antoinetteantoinette, me, jo patrick,and my husband March 4th was my second time attending A New Day...it was so amazing!! My husband and I had orch 3 row AA seats. I was so happy to be back again and this time with my husband who was a first timer!!! We arrived to Vegas at 4:00 that afternoon, raced to our hotel, checked in and got ready. At around 5:30 we took a taxi to Caesars to meet up with fellow Celine fan, Antoinette, whom I met on the forum. She is such a sweet person and I thank her so much for everything. We walked around the colosseum , grabbed a small bite to eat and then I stood in the standby line with her so she could get tickets. We went in at around 8:00pm and had to check in our camera and my gift that I had brought for Celine. We walked around inside for a little then we took our seats, she was in orch4 row CC, so we both had great seats. The lights went down, the glass shattered, and the back up singers began to sing “A New Day Has Come,” and when her shadow appeared in the back of the stage, I started crying. I was so excited and happy to be there and to be so close I was just taken over by the moment...very overwhelming but completely amazing!!! Her voice makes me melt...I love her so much. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her! I think I cried at almost every slow song..lol!! After she finished A New Day, she looked a me and smiled and winked…I was in heaven !! When she stared sing “I’m Alive” I stood up and started dancing, singing, and clapping. It was only me a couple of other people (including Antoinette) who stood during the song. Celine loved it, she kept coming to my side of the stage…it was great! Then when she started “I Drove All Night,” I was still standing and in the middle of the song, some girls behind me were like “You have to sit down!” Later I found out that they were standing too and some old ladies behind them yelled at them to sit down, so they didn’t want me standing either…LOL! After “Seduces Me,” She came and sat on the stairs, probably about 4 or 5 feet away from me…I was in total awe of her! She started singing “If I could” and I just died…I started crying again. She was looking at me a lot through out the entire song and I tried to hide that I was crying so I wouldn’t distract her. After she finished she wiped a tear from her eye and she looked at me and said: “You’re supposed to be helping me, not making me cry, why are you crying?” Then the next thing I knew she walked down the stairs towards me and gave me a big hug !! It was the quickest 5 seconds of my life, but I will never forget it. I told her I love her so much and she looked at me and smiled and put her hand on my right cheek for just a second. As she was walking back on stage she asked me “Are you okay?” (Someone behind me said “she is now” lol) and I said yes, and then she asked if I had a six year old, and I said no. Then she said, “Just wait until you do, it gets harder as they get older.” I will never forget that moment, it will stay with me forever!! As she started her next song, she kind of shook her legs and arms a little and gave her left cheek and eye one last rub, taking care of the last tear! The show went on and she was incredible. When “Love can move mountains” started, I was so excited, I love that song. I stood up right away, before she even told everyone to stand up with her. When the dancers came through the isles it was amazing, one of them even stopped next to me and started dancing with me, it was so much fun! Another great moment was during “River Deep Mountain High.” This is another one of my favorite songs! I was singing with her the entire time and she must have noticed because when she took the microphone off the stand she leaned towards me and gave me eye contact and smiled for the entire part of “When you were a young boy Did you have a puppy…” It was so great. She made me feel so special and I completely zoned everyone else out!! I felt like I was getting a personal show, it was amazing! She paid so much attention to me during the entire show!!! After I yelled, “I love you Celine” and she winked and smiled at me! In the end, I didn’t get the rose (she gave it to a little girl and to a VIP in orch 4) but honestly I didn't care! I was lucky enough to get a personal hug, a small conversation and tons of personal interaction during the show!!! This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The show was great and she was AMAZING!! I will never forget her, even though I sure she will never remember me. Her inspiration is amazing and she means so much to me, even though I don’t know her! After the show, I was able to meet one of the dancers, Jo Patrick. He is so nice and friendly, a really great guy! I was also able to meet Celine’s brother, Michel. It was one of the nicest people that I have ever met and he was nice enough to take my gift that I brought for Celine and promised to give it to her! Now I'm home and feeling so lucky to have had a small connection with Celine, but I'm feeling a little down, like Celine withdrawal or something! I wish I could see her every night! I could not ask for more of that night! It was amazing. Everyone was amazing and very friendly. Thanks again Antoinette! You are such a great and wonderful person and we had a great time with you! Can’t wait to see you again in December. I hope to meet others from the forum as well in December. See, I'm sitting in ORCH 4 row CC but we have isle seats...401 and 402! Do you think there could be very much happening to me like that? I doubt it, but I want to stay positive...I'm so happy you cried...lol I will be doing the exact same thing, just taking in that moment of actually being there and being only a few feet from Celine...I will ball like a baby! Well, I'm glad you had fun, and we will have to keep in touch and hopefully meet one day too! I remember Celine hugged a whole bunch of people after she sang IIC when I was there in November, she is so sweet! I'm glad your going to be there in December...I will be there too!
