What PQTME performance gets you excited?

Hello all!

 

This is one of my favourite Celine songs despite it being in French, meaning I really don't have a clue whats's going on..."For You To Love Me Again"...that says it all for soppy old me.

 

I think there are many great performances of this song out there- it's one song I don't think she could ever sing badly.

 

This is one of my favs, with JJG- although the song is too high for him and he struggles.I love how she impros and changes it. She is wearing a gold version of her ANDHC Special outfit. She's so passionate and overcome with the song I think here. She sings effortlessly (NOT PERFECTLY) It's brilliant. (If anyone knows where we can download this in better quality I will love them forever)

AWWW! I hadn't seen that one either! WHERE HAVE I BEEN?? She's the best. She looked so terrified throughout knowing her voice wasn't perfect. She still sang it 100000000 times better than anyone else on this planet could. Thanks for that. Made me all weepy! x

I just love this song!!! and aside from the one Stevo remarked from the TF1 Special which I love also for the beginning in which JJG starts to sing his own "Ensemble" (I would have loved to see this song perfomed as a duet with Celine and the 500 choristes)....

 

 

My personal favorite would be the rehearse sketch She did with JJG on the D'eux special sitting on the floor, talking about the song, and purely acoustic .... why isn't there an Unplugged by Celine!!!

I Also Love this performance of PQTME.

I just love the way Celine sings it at the end,

it's pretty much like some of the other performances,

but soooooo powerful, very emotional!!!

I like the Ghent version very much as well!

I also like the 1996 World Music Award performance, beacause her voice was so powerful those days.

And I like the duet with Florent Pagny. I´m not sure if I really like her voice, but the whole thing. It´s so different. It´s nice to hear an ´old song´ in a totally different way.

The last 2 performances used to be on youtube, but not anymore...

Which performance is my favorite? How about all of them. I've been having a love affair with this song since it came out in 1995. There's something about the song that I simply adore and it's been my all time favorite song of any artist ever.

Just imagine my excitement when she sang it in vegas. I cheered so much when she started introducing JJ that she had to stop the introduction to let me and the other fans that joined the cheering finish. lol

Stevo matey, we have so much in common.... PQTMAE is my fav song too, and that performance is my favourite ever, I love the bit at the end where she just changes the note a little bit. But other than that I love the one with Emilie on Star Academie from 2005, where her voice breaks a bit when she sings her first line on the main chorus after Emilie sings. Amazing!!!

My favourite one has to be the first night I saw her in Vegas, for 2 reasons: it was the first time I ever saw Celine live and the entire song she starred at someone in the back. I can bet Rene was there, cause she was just starring at that point and I can't think why else she would have done that. And her voice was just in perfect shape and I sang my heart out along with her .

My 2 favourite (sorry, can't choose just one ) performances of this magnificemt song are the performances with JJG. I don't know the exact time or occasion, but the first one is around 1995/6 a wonderful acoustic version, and the other one is the performance someone has already mentioned before. JJG's voice was shaky, the song wasn't obviously for him, but his participation made the song special, because he is still the person who has written this masterpiece. And I liked the acoustic, more guitar based rendition of the song then.

My favourite performance was last April in Vegas, first night back after illness. She sang the song to someone in the back then too, and by the end she had to wipe a tear or two away

 

I saw the show a couple of days later and, although it was a good performance there wasn't the same emotion.

The videos for Star Academie are in multimedia section and are really good, but you have to have a fast computer to play them. Dunno about the mp3s though. P.s. Steveo I'm loving the Celine Karaoke CD you have in your hand, It reminds me of many a drunken night lol

I love the live in Ghent one. But the one with JJG is just amazing, especially the acoustic part. And then again, the one on Jay Leno is so fresh, I can't help but love that one as well. I just LOVE THE SONG! LOL
