On a scale of 200... it's quite alright!

 

Although I do disagree with some of their choices in the Top 100, their Top 10 have some VERY definitive albums that have shaped our pop culture.

Canadian thrush Celine Dion is primarily a singles artist, which is a good thing, because the soaring, epic style she brings to nearly all of her material is thrilling in four-minute bursts, but nearly overwhelming at album length. Falling into You is Dion's finest attempt to temper that approach--mixing low-key love songs and dance pop between showstoppers such as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the Up Close and Personal movie theme, "Because You Loved Me." Dion's take on Tina Turner's Phil Spector experiment "River Deep, Mountain High" is game, but there's little doubt which singer hails from the Great White North and which one is from Nutbush, Tennessee.

 

Hhmmm I always thought Céline was a ALBUM artist! Madonna is a single artist... IMO...

 

I also don't really agree with all the albums... like Pieces of you... it only had one big hit! And Come on Over... on 21? isn't it a bit too high?

I know that. the Only the reason that they beet Celine is. These artist are what they call in the no, hip, cooler the Celine. Well bullshit to that crap. Most of gamers that a game with listen these guys. The only thing they good about them is, it's great music to frag to, but I prefer Celine Dion any day over these guy.

The funny thing about Shanaynay's album was that every other music lover bought her album. And yes, the Jewel thing gave me an eyeroller ...

 

I wonder where "Let's Talk About Love" was...

For me, that was a landmark album.

 

I wonder what next year's list will bring... will they put in Pussycat Dolls and the ever-annoying Fergie ?
