March 3rd Show Review

Hi Everyone,

 

Here is what happened,

It all started by getting to Ceasars and Thanking the person who got us front row tickets. He was great. We walked our4 1/2 year old daughter around the Colosseum for about an hour (she was soooo excited to see Celine for her first time). My 7 year old son on the other hand was mister joe cool and just sat with mom. The doors finaly opened and we waited for the rush of fans to thin out before we made our way to our seats. I have sat many times in Row BB but to finaly sit in the front (we were in heaven.) They started zooming in with the camera and first up was us. My daughter and I kissed and My wife and son did the same. Then my Daughter started making funny faces (the crowd loved her.) The glass broke and of course it scared my daughter but she got so excited when it started with "A NEW DAY". Write off the bat Celine noticed us and smiled at all of Us She then waived to Adrienne, gave the sign for I love you to my son Andrew, Waived to my daughter Alexis, and gave me a salute. WOW it was great to start the night off great. Through out the hour she stayed almost completly on our side of the stage. My daughter Alexis stood up and danced for every up beat song even when no one else was doing so. The dancers loved it along with Celine giving her the thumbs up. all the time. When "Love Can Move Mountains" started the whole crowd came out of there seats to dance and clap along. I was holding Alexis and dancing with her. Ther Camera went away from the stage and on to me and my daughter dancing for a few seconds. The crowd loved it. Then the dances came down from the stage to go up the walk ways and dance. They started giving Alexis hi fives but with both hands, so I guess it would be hi tens. HAHAHA. One of the female dancers (don't know her name) stoped and started clapping Alexis hands over and over again. Shes loving it!!! Then the dancers made there way back down the walkway and the same female dancer stoped at us again and clapped with her. This about a minute into the song. She asked me if she could take my daughter with her to dance with them. I asked her and she yelled YESSS!!!. She took her out of my arms and took her to the front step of the stage and started dancing. She was spinning her and and Alexis, who loves to dance was shaking her botty and getting down. Celine was still singing and she loved it ( you could see it in her smile at what was going on. The camera panned away again from the stage and zommed in on my daughter and the dancer dancing. The crowed was loving it AND SO WERE WE!! We could not belive it. We have gone many times to see the show and never ever saw such a thing like that. WOW!!! Celine ran off stage to do her costume change and they kept on dancing. Mary-Lou, Celines back up singer, was getting such a kick at what was going on. The song was ending and the dancer gave her the biggest hug and told me thank you so much. Alexis was on cloud nine. And so were we. The end of the show was coming and "My Heart Will Go On" was ending.

Let me take you back a day before. After telling our children about what takes place with the show and about the rose at the end they wanted sooo bad to give Celine a rose. This is coming from a 4 and 7 year old. We told them that she might not come close enough to us to give it to her. They understood but wanted to give it to one of the ushers to give to her. We said ok and went all aroud Vegas to buy 2 roses. So now back to the show.

Every time we have seen the show there has been a single rose on the left of the stage where the band is and this is the one that "The Moon" gives to Celine at the end . When he came out from the right side of the stage he had TWO roses in his hand that he handed to Celine. I did not see this at first but Adrienne noticed immediatly and her heart started racing. She kept thing OH MY GOSH, she is going to give it to our kids. Finally I noticed that there was two roses and we both looked at each other at the same time and said OH MY GOSH, NO WAY. After doing all of her bows she came to the top of the steps and looked at Adrienne and said "May I". And she enthusiasticly said YES. Then Celine turned to me and said "May I." I to said YES. So she came down on got down on her knees, eye level with Alexis. (by now the camera was only on us and the crowd could see us on the screen.) She handed her one of the roses and said " you are so beautiful" and then kissed her on the cheek and gave her a big hug. The crowd went AWWWWWWWW. Then she moved over to Andrew, our son, gave him the second rose and said "good job", then kissed his cheek and gave hem a big hug. Adrienne leaned over to Celine and said "each of the kids has a rose for you." Celine put her hands on her chest and said " For meee, Reeeealy, for me." and Adrienne said yes. I took out the roses from one of our bags and handed one of them to Alexis. She handed it to Celine and she still could not believe it. Celine told Alexis " thank you". Then Andrew gave his rose to her, and she said " thank you." Then she looked to Adrienne and said " Thank you, Thank you." She still could not believe that our babies gave her Two roses. She then looked to me and said "Thank you." As she got up off her knees her heels got caught in her dress. My wife immediatly thought to help her but then immediatly thought that those two body gaurds might tackle me HAHA, so she just said " oh no". Finally she got her heels out of her dress and went back to the stage. She held both roses in front of her to show the cast. She then held the rose out to each of her sides. She still seemed like she could'nt believe. She bowed to her cast once again, turned around and bowed to the audience and off she went. Then as all of the dancers do one last goodbye, they all waved goodbye to our kids. WHAT A MAGICAL AND MEMORABLE NIGHT THAT WAS.

Once we got out people kept coming up to us and asking if we knew Celine and if that was the reason why she paid so much attention to us during the show and if that is why she gave them the roses. We said no we are just big and "little" fans. Other people came up to us and said your kids are celebraties now, they were on the screen and dancing with them. We could not get five feet without someone coming up to us. Some people even took photos of us, we could not believe it. We then went up to the box office to get our camera and we again thanked the person who helped us with our tickets. When we were leaving our daughter said "mama, smell the rose, it smells soooo beautiful". Then Adrienne asked Andrew what he thought of Celines kiss. He said " that was the sweetest kiss I evvvver got. We thought that was so cute.

We had a GREAT time and will never forget that night.

aaaww, what a beautiful story! It was indeed a magical night for you and especially your kids! They will have such wonderful memories to hold on to for a long time! They really must have surprised Céline with their roses, how fantastic was that! I wish I had been there to see all this and your daughter dancing on the steps!! Must have been great! Well, if I had a seat in the first row I wouldn't like that at all, cause I wanna get that rose! But really, she wouldn't be able to concetrate if she had so many kids in the first row, she'd be playing with them instead of singing

That was truly a great review and soooooo fun to read! Celine gave two roses to two little girls in the audience (they were in Orch 3 or 2, but not sure if they were front row or not), it was so cute. Definitely a sure bet of getting the rose when a kid is there...I'm just glad there weren't any kids close by when I got my rose, lol!!!

My wife Adrienne and I have three charities that are near and dear to our heart that we donate to every year. So when the oppurtunity presented itself to donate to Celines Cystic Fibrosis Foundation we jumped on that oppurtunity. We now have 4 charities that we will be donating to every year. We encourgage everyone to "pay it foward" and to try to do at least 1 random act of kindness every day. We have found that our lives are so much more enriched by doing this. There TRULY is more happiness in giving then there is in recieving.

good for you guys. but doesn't it feel a little strange going to a "bought" meeting with Celine? i guess $8400 was deemed appropriate for a charise cause.
