I was thinking Celine would make an excellent guest judge, but I think she would do better as a judge in the beginning when they have to listen to bad singers too, because I would like to see her reaction to those terrible singers!!!

 

I also think she would make an excellent judge for the final 24 contestants, but she might also be too nice.

Oh my gosh! I don't know! I would want to see Celine's reaction to those REALLY horrific singers, but she's just sp nice, and that's what I love about her!

Good question.... But I don't think Celine would do it. I think it would be too difficult for her to turn people down. ALL THE TIME she meets her fans who wanna be her or be successful like her and they tell her how she has helped them follow their dreams. Celine sings about following your heart/dreams/path... and then to go on a show and tell a nice young girl (in her nicest way possible) that she can't sing... that her "journey ends here" as they say. I just can't see Celine being able to do that. It's not that she's too nice. It's that I think it would go against everything she's about. Now I do have to say that I WOULD LOVE to see her reaction as well to some of those insane singers. I think I would fall out of my chair laughing. lol

Originally I said YES but then I thought NO so now I'm stuck at maybe.

Like alot of you I think it would be wonderful to see Celine's face when she hears someone sing her songs but at the same time I don't think she would be able to be harsh if someone really sucked. She is too nice and cares about others feelings too much. I think she would make Paula look like a fierce lion and Simon... he would be all over Celine for not being mean enough. It would be interesting though.

Yup, I could imagine Celine hitting Simon for making cruel comments and Randy would be there to make things more interesting since he has worked with Celine in the past.

i think he helped produce a song of hers. I think celine would make an excellent judge now that I thought about it again. Well all agree that Celine is about following your dreams and that it would be against everything she is about if she turns someone down, but see Celine would see hear a horrible singer, but she would see something else in them besides that and she may say something to the effect of letting the person know that no matter what anyone else says, just keep your head up and follow your heart.

I think Celine would be a great judge. Her passion for music and life can be shared with the contenstants as will her experience in the industry. I beleive she would be too nice, but that's just who she is.

I think Celine has better things to do with her time - like spend it with her family.

 

It would be great for her to be there one or two times at most, but not as a regular judge - because sooner or later, she's gotta say to someone - this is not what you're cut out to do. And Celine is too nice - it would really be a conflict, and it would not be interesting to hear Celine keep saying "hmm, that's nice, but not quite my taste".

 

I think it's better for Celine to be a guest singer as florence5829 said - then we can hear her sing, and the contestants can be inspired and be fortunate enough to hear Celine truly "Live". Most of us haven't had that chance as yet. And I always hear she sounds much much better "Live". She already sounds so good on recordings.

i think it's only a matter of time before celine will be a guest star there...not as a judge but probably as a mentor - like andrea bocelli , david foster , barry manilow and so many others before...

but it's very important that celine would have a new album to promote cause we r talking about the most watched TV show in america - maybe next season

If they don't do it in the U.S. maybe they'll do it in Canada . back to answering the question I put maybe because Celine has a certain personality that I don't think would fit properly, she'd probably jump on the stage and help them with the tough parts and help them to work it out.

I think Celine would be a great guest judge. Especially on a week like this past one where the theme would be love songs. She could sit in with the contestants while they practice....I think she would be kind but give constructive criticsm. Then on the elimination night she'll sing her own song and show everyone that she really is ze greatest singer in ze world!!
