It didn't chart on the Billboard 200. The album sold those 100,000 copies in 9 years

The first week sales could be just few thousands. But we'll never know

some people here also think that ANDHC sold more than 15 million copies worldwide - well sorry , the album sold around 8 million copies in total so again just check your "facts" before posting it

yes it was a flop considering she came back with all that media blitz and the new baby and everything...selling only 3 million copies in the u.s. after all of that media blitz is a flop and it's due to the simple fact that there wasnt even 1 radio hit from this album...

I wouldn't compare slaes from before ten years with ones after the new millenium, since nowadays people mostly download music from here and there. It's obvious - why give 15 euro when you can download it for free. And let's not forget that only fans care for such things as album art and other CD-related stuff. Of course ANDHC sold less then, say, LTAL, it was simply issued in a different 'age'...

HEr new English album won't sell even half as much as ANDHC did anyway but it will be still respectable.

it was the best selling foreign album in Greece for 2002 and i'm alive and a new day has come were for 4 weeks on the no1 of the world chart i think (i could listen to that show then but not anymore :S)

Yeah, I totally agree with Gryfon - we just live in "other" era now and especially since 2000 we've got a lot of "easier and cheaper" ways to get music (and other medias) Napster, AudioGalaxy and all of their cousins.... you know what I mean...

 

Maybe the new albums will do a bit better as now the labels try even more and better to get their hands on pirated music and sharing programmes... but there will still be a looot of pirated copies around and those sales numbers doesn't really mean the real success or flop nowadays...

 

I don't really care for "ANDHC" album as it isn't my favourite at all... but I still wish Céline the best and I would rather see her succes in that how often she's mentioned in medias, how many people go to see her shows... etc.

That's because I emailed Forbes and Vh1 a week or two prior to their broadcast of that show on Forbe's Richest 20 Women in Entertainment. I'm so glad they made the revision. On Forbe's site, they mentioned 140 million...

We don't know them. All we know is that other albums sold less than 300,000 copies through BMG Music Club.

There's no way her new album will do better than ANDHC. That album will surely have appealed to A LOT more people willing to buy CDs(hence the younger generation).

 

Anyway, it's not important for her to have commercial success right now. More critical success.
