HELP With Birthday Wish

Hello everyone,

 

I am here today asking for anyone who is interested in helping me out. I am on my knees for this one everybody I am planning a birthday weekend for my girlfriend.

 

Before I ask my question, I need to give you a little background information on why I am asking this.

 

First off, I am not the biggest Celine Dion fan. I am a fan of music in general, I love her music, but my girlfriend dwarfs me in comparison; SHE IS A HUGE CELINE DION FAN! She loves everything about her music, lyrics, beats, you name it, she loves it. She is also a HUGE Friends fan. Her only regret was that she never saw a live taping of Friends, she also mentioned regretting never seeing Celine in concert... this is where my idea came in...

 

Her birthday is on March 1st. She knows that we are going to Las Vegas to have a great weekend. WHAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW IS THAT I BOUGHT US CELINE DION TICKETS

 

I was originally told by a couple of people that she doesn't do concerts anymore. But soon I discovered that she is actually performing ON HER BIRTHDAY! I snatched those tickets in a heartbeat =)

 

This trip was meant to be a relaxing time to get away from everything. We are from California, and we are going to drive to Vegas Wednesday night.

 

She is going through some troubling times right now in her life. Without giving too much personal info away, she is dealing with a family members health deteriorating and graduate school. Graduate school alone is consuming most of her time. She cant really handle the work load and family situation well at all She actually thought about braking up with me because she thought I deserved better than someone who will bring her down. The fact is, I am crazy about this girl ! I just want to make this trip as memorable as possible.

 

She will be surprised to see Celine Dion, which I think would make her one of the most happiest people on the face of the earth. She loves this woman as much as all of you do. She showed me a memorabilia book she purchased in borders from Celine Dion. The one thing that is missing to this perfect surprise would be a photo and possibly an autograph from her

 

I know, already it sounds almost impossible to accomplish. That is why I am on my knees here asking for ANY help whatsoever in obtaining the final touch to her birthday present.

 

Anyone I can contact, possibly backstage passes? ANYTHING, I just want to make this night unforgettable.

Hmmm... I remember awhile ago it was possible to meet Celine under a VERY pricey budget. But, I don't think they do that anymore. Now, I believe the only possible way to meet Celine is to win it through Team Celine, which doesn't happen often. Or, in the fantasy world, you could do something extremely generous to something Celine is also supporting, like donating a million bucks to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF)...

 

Anyway, Team Celine has a "Fan of the Month" contest, but those fans only win tickets to see the show, not actual VIP tickets that will allow them to meet Celine. Team Celine will also hold several contests that will let you win VIP tickets, but this is only on rare circumstances, such as charity fundraising.

And the last thing is the grand prize contest at the end of each year. It lets fans have the chance to win a super prize including accomodation, VIP tickets and $300 spending money at the Celine Dion boutique... I think. There might be more to it, I'm not sure, but it's a BIG prize.

 

I don't know if any of that helped at all, but what I'm trying to say is that the chances of you being able to obtain VIP tickets are slim. I'm sorry I know how much you must love your girlfriend, my partner feels the same way and tries exactly what you're trying... but unsecretly

I'm sorry that I had to be the one to pull down your hopes (unless someone else is able to save the day). I know how hard it must be, but that's the way it is, I'm sorry. But if you look on the bright side, it's really the thought that counts. I'm sure she'll love what you've done, no doubt.

 

(P.S.: Your girlfriend sounds a lot like me... I LOOOOVVE LOVE LOVE Celine and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Friends. Freaky huh? )

I would die for meeting Céline one day and see her on live on stage...... huhhh.... Sweet dreams....

 

I think really the only way is to win meet & great at TeamCeline but I guess even if you/your girlfriend are lucky enough to win - it's no possibility to manage it for March 1st - it's just too soon....

 

Heh, but if you find someone who let will let you two meet Céline than still, drop me a line so my greatest dream of all would realize es well.....

 

 

 

Anyways, you seem to be really sweet to your girlfriend - lucky her to have such a boyfriend who really cares about her passion!!

Not all partners do so, believe me!!

I think it's really nice that you will be doing this for your girlfriend. She will definitely love the show, especially if she's a big fan.

 

Unfortunately, it's very difficult, although not impossible to meet Celine or get an autograph. There are many people here who have been fortunate to have met her through contests or chance meetings with people involved with the show. Recently a big Canadian department store (The Bay) offered three very expensive Las Vegas meet and greet packages where they provided the air fair, Caesar's hotel room and a meet and greet with Celine. The price is around $9000. Not too cheap.

 

But even if you can't meet her or get an autograph I'm SURE your girfriend will be EXTREMELY happy to go to the show!

To get an autograph is easy - you just have to meet someone like Michel or Patirck, I guess Michel is easier.

There's a good chance of seeing these guys outside the Colosseum. Michel is Celine's brother and Patrick is umm..Celine's step-son (sounds weird..lol) but anyway, they both work for Celine and especially Patrick is very easy to spot..he is everywhere.

Michel and Patrick are really nice guys and I'm sure they will try to get you an autograph (though it depends on Celine's schedule)..and if you are really lucky maybe you get a chance to meet Celine. Everything is possible.

 

I don't know you or you girlfriend but the fact you are doing this for her tells a lot about you.

The show itself is a wonderful experience, I'm sure both of you wll enjoy every second of it.

an autograph is really easy to get:) if you see Team celine members going backstage they can take an autograph for you or as others said meet michael or patrick:) but about metting - it's rather impossible

First of all, I have to say that you're really a sweet person!! You must really love your girlfriend and that's wonderful!!

As people said here, the autograph is not difficult to get, but to meet her it's really difficult!

But you know what? I don't think your girlfriend will mind if you don't get an autograph! You're taking her to the show of her life and you're showing her how much you love her... If that was with me I wouldn't care if I didn't have the autograph!
