LVCeline Posted February 13, 2007 at 05:29 PM Posted February 13, 2007 at 05:29 PM I agree. This is one of my favorite Celine french songs. It's so much different from her usual songs, it's got a real soulful sound, and she sounds great singing it! This is something that I think would suprise people who have a pre-conceived notion of Celine Dion being the Titanic singer. Quote
charmedceline Posted February 13, 2007 at 07:11 PM Posted February 13, 2007 at 07:11 PM (edited) Oh I feel, the blues in me, nobody knows how I really feel What a great song. I love it so much. I once played it for some of my friends who don't really like Céline and they were really surprised. I loved to see their astound faces Edited February 13, 2007 at 07:12 PM by charmedceline Quote

Dionesque Posted February 13, 2007 at 08:48 PM Posted February 13, 2007 at 08:48 PM It was my first "secret love" from SSDA album!!! I mean, the song I heard for the first time after buying the CD and have suddenly fallen in love with it!! It's so beautiful... so sad... so artistic!!! Kinda the new song "S'il n'en restait qu'une"!!... Unexpectable....!!! WOW!!! Yeah, I already surprized some people with this song, hehe - they went like: "eh??! this is that Titanic-singer??!!..." LOL! I hoped it to be the single and maybe that was the biggest disappointment to me about SSDA album that this song has never been released as a single.... Only people who bought the entire album could be lucky enough to discover this great treasure!.... Zora Posted February 13, 2007 at 11:37 PM Posted February 13, 2007 at 11:37 PM It's one of my absolute top fave Celine songs, which really says something. Personally I'm glad it wasn't released, I don't like it when my fave tracks get released coz then they get overplayed and they're not as special anymore. It's a total gem and to me it's the epitome of here talent - her voice, emotion and versatility totally shine through, you really imagine yourself in the cotton field with her. And I only discovered it relatively recently when I started getting back into her French stuff. It's the note near the end that throws you, I think it along with the high note in 'Fly' are her most heart stopping notes. It's so true that if poeple heard her when she does this kinda thing that they would be surprised, I guess it's a treat for us obsesives Quote LIFE BEGINS WITH LOVE

Esty Posted February 14, 2007 at 02:39 PM Posted February 14, 2007 at 02:39 PM Itás one of my top Celine songs. It's a real gem. It's so cool, the lyrics (about the cotton field...), the music, the guitar, the atmosphere... And I like the mixture of French and English. It makes the song even more special.10/10 Quote

SimplyCeline Posted February 20, 2007 at 01:59 AM Posted February 20, 2007 at 01:59 AM I adore this song! For years i have been raving about to everyone, and strangely find that some often prefer it over many english songs ive played them. I think it suits her voice down to a T. In fact, im off to listen to it now Quote

P.S. Wow! That's my 200th post, BTW... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congrats on the 200th post! As for the song, it took me a while to like it. Usually bilingual songs don't really impress me unless they're duets. I really think this song could have been great as a duet. One singing the French, the other the English, and then both at the end. But, it did grow on me. ...Joe... Quote
