Took me a few listens, but I really really like it now! She sounds just fantastic, and god love the note at 3:54, it's incredible! I don't like his voice at all, but she makes the song worth listening to!

no i meant his! she sounds great, but the production is wierd as hell and their harmony is painful to listen to. it sounds off-key or something. his solo version is so haunting and emotional. in the duet she's like screaming parts of it and it doesnt fit imo. i just dont like it at all.

i second that tal . specialy the screaming part - it's not like those classical , beautiful notes with her amazing vibrato - here she just screams it , something she tends to do more and more recently *LCMM* :sick:

Thats not what I meant by her 'screaming'. I meant that it didn't suit the song. Listen to the solo version that someone here (sorry, I forgot who it was) posted. Its so soft and melodic. But when she sings it she almost sounds mad or something.

 

But mostly what bothered me in the song was they way the arranged the music and harmony. Its completely off, imo. :blink:

I agree, they don't go well together. Celine even looks mad during the recording session. :o

 

well maybe she WAS mad when she recorded it! To me the lyrics seems like somebody lost a person... and maybe Céline thought of her father when she sang it! I competely love it! I don't think it's off or something!!! but everybody there own! B)

 

oh and the remark about LCMM is SOOO untrue!!! Céline sang it perfectly last week!! every time I heard it!! She was only fooling arround in the begining... but the rest was just amazing!! :evil:

Nope! I've been loving it too! I love the way she sings this song, and the way her voice sounds. My favorite line she sings is:

 

"...Nos visages à l'envers

Tout petit, tout petit..."

 

I just love the way she phrases those 2 lines!

No, no children! This song is a special version for Dubois' DUET album! :D He is a known Quebec singer and it's great for Céline to participate in the project.

just shows u how great celine is as a person...she wont get anything from doing it - noone really cares about this singer worldwide yet she is celine , the sweetheart , dion .

At first I didn't like it, but then I downloaded Claude's version and I can't stop listening to it... :wub: I don't know how it's gonna be with Céline but I'm hoping this is gonna be good... :msn-wink:

:w00t: I am watching TVA right now.. The show is not on yet, but I'm watching a program about TVA itself (I guess) and guess who apperead in the middle of it?? Yes, Céline!! Nothing new, but it was nice to see her... They showed a little piece of her first appearance on TV and then René talked a little about it... Then they showed a little part of that interview where Julie Snyder shows Céline's vocal cords in public!

Just found interesting to share the fact with you... :msn-wink:
