thevoice Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:14 AM Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:14 AM (edited) first of all - a request from the moderators - i know there r already topics about the new song but i opened this new one due to 2 main reasons : 1 - we know that people from sony r surfing here from time to time and they might see this headline and do something about it . 2 - the other topics r about the song itself or her oscar performance...here we'll get the chance to see just how many people think it's a good idea to release this song and if there r enough people we might send 1 official letter from the forum . now , we dont have alot of time , the oscar is in 17 days!! and we want people to hear this song as soon as possible on radio stations so the oscar performance would push it even more right? i think that this major event is the best way to promote this song and celine's next english album...billions of people will watch this ceremony and hear this song , i'm sure some of them would ask - "ohhh where can i get this song?" - it's a once in a lifetime opportunity i hope most of u will join this effort regardless of how much u love this song or not - there is a major opportunity for our celine to come back big time and we should do everything in our power to help her...thank u very much and hopefuly we'll get some ideas for the official letter Edited February 8, 2007 at 11:15 AM by thevoice Quote
amelie Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:18 AM Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:18 AM i don't feel that this song should be released...i don't like it that much but should it be released i think it should be the day after the Oscars...i think that the Oscars performance should be the one to introduce the song...i can't think of any non-celine fan liking this song Quote
celinefanonline Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:21 AM Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:21 AM (edited) well this song well promote the tribute album more cause for Celine's english album it won't come out until october...... don't u think it's a bit too long for it....but of cause a single will be always good... but don't know if it will get a lot of play though... krazy_kool_dude Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:29 AM Posted February 8, 2007 at 11:29 AM (edited) I don't think it should be a single, it's a Celine classic already though IMO - just like Then You Look At Me! I'll be happy if it appears on the new album and she uses the song LIVE to promote the album but commercially it would flop! Too slow but beautiful! CSCfan Posted February 8, 2007 at 12:03 PM Posted February 8, 2007 at 12:03 PM I love the song, but I really don't think it's suited [to be released] as a single.. A music video would definately be nice and complementary for the song, but a single/radio release wouldn't be wise IMO. Especially as it will be her first English single since quite a while.. nature boy Posted February 8, 2007 at 02:32 PM Posted February 8, 2007 at 02:32 PM As much as I'm loving this song, if we want Celine back on the radio in the UK this is the wrong song to be released. Quote http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/3239/kylieima5lp9.jpg How do you describe a feeling??
Javito Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:01 PM Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:01 PM What do you mean, releasing it as a single? Absolutely NO!! No way for that please!! As much as I'm loving this song, if we want Celine back on the radio in the UK this is the wrong song to be released.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly! If we want Céline to be played again on radios and have a chance with singles market, this is the worst kind of song to do that! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

thevoice Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:20 PM Author Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:20 PM it seems like i got my answer - well , no wonder her sales declined in recent years .anyway - i'm still gonna write a personal letter to the people involved Quote
stevo Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:21 PM Posted February 8, 2007 at 03:21 PM Definately not- it would die commercially. Beautiful song- it would erase any shred of a chance that Celine has of getting back onto the Billboard charts.NO No No...even if the hands of time knew.... Quote

karatedude317 Posted February 9, 2007 at 12:16 AM Posted February 9, 2007 at 12:16 AM This song should not be released on the radio as a single, we'd be lucky if it got more than 100 spins. Too slow and too much of a ballad, she needs a more upbeat song something like Let Your Heard Decide Quote
smw Posted February 9, 2007 at 05:00 AM Posted February 9, 2007 at 05:00 AM I adore this song. But I think it just needs to be for the awards...and for people to look up and listen to on their own. It will be the perfect little taste of Celine before she released a really radio friendly song that will blow us all away. Quote
ThereseDion Posted February 9, 2007 at 05:28 AM Posted February 9, 2007 at 05:28 AM i havn't listen to this song Quote
kdw123 Posted February 9, 2007 at 06:34 AM Posted February 9, 2007 at 06:34 AM I love the song and I think it is a great one; however, I don't think that it is a "Radio" song only because it is more of a Epic Movie song, maybe a song that would play during a scene in a movie or on a TV show - that I could see. I think if we want Celine to come back strong, and I think we all do, she needs a better more commercial song (radio friendly) for her first single. Plus this is way to early for a first single to promote her new English CD. Quote
blue.grave Posted February 9, 2007 at 06:53 AM Posted February 9, 2007 at 06:53 AM This a beautiful song. But the populous is quite fickle. For a good example "A New Day" song. There happens to be two version of the song, a fast one and a slow one. Witch one do you think gets played on the air? It is quite obvious which one is played on the radio. Most people have short attention spans and tend to loose interest after four and-a-half minutes of doing anything. But for some of us who could sit still for long amounts of like myself. that is rare to find. Most likely I could read good book for hours, or play a awesome game for days on end. I don't think other would appreciate this song as much any of Celine fans. Not in less you want them to butcher this song by make a fast version to appeal to everyone else. Here is one more song they had to change for it to be on the radio. "It all Coming Back to Me Now" From it's original time of seven minutes and thirty seven seconds long to about four-and-a-half minutes long just thkeep listeners tuned to the station. We should probably wait for the Song to be released on the tribute Cd or the English on to come out. Quote For the joy of life, My passion for video gaming, and my Love for Celine Dion.
