A December to Remember

It may be over ten months away, but as I get older, I realize how fast time will fly! :giggle: Let's discuss, plan, and get excited for the FINALE of Celine Dion's "A New Day..."

I know there are many things we are looking forward to in the next several months and especially in December, such as:

- Getting Tickets for the final Shows (THIS WEEK!)

- Fulfillment of The Celine Dion Convention that Marisa and friends are planning.

- Getting to know how much the Finale Ticket prices are! :whistling:

- Meeting Celine Dion fans from all over the world! :w00t:

- Experience Celine's last official moments in "A New Day..." :cry:

- Prepping for "what to wear" and "what to do" in Vegas! :stud:

- Ideas of gifts for Celine/Rene/RC/Celine's Team :wub:

- Awaiting the Official DVD of "A New Day" :w00t:

- Awaiting Celine's new recordings in English and French!

- PARTY! PARTY! PARTY! :clap:

- AND SO MUCH MORE! :clap:

There are just so many things we are looking forward to in this year - 2007. So, this is the place to share your thoughts, feelings, expressions, smiles... and OF COURSE... where you'll be sitting! :giggle: While we go about our normal and extraordinary lives, at least we know that we are looking forward to a Rendevous in Las Vegas, to make this a December to Remember!

Well, my expectations are really huge!!!! I was born a very anxious person, so i know that I'll buy the tickets for the last week this week but for the last show i may not be able to go because of the price an etc, and also that I have to wait for my visa to be accepted before I say "Vegas, here I come", and I won't be able to do that before August... And I also know, better, I also don't know how I'm going to afford all the things I need to do and etc.... And I know all this stuff is going to turn out just fine, but since now I just can't eat or sleep well....

OMG!! I hope my heart can stand this and much more! :giggle:

It's going to fly by in the speed of life! (Which is almost as fast as the speed of light! :giggle: )

Yes, I do have to plan things well in advance, regardless of what I do. Preparation is DEFINITELY one of the keys to success in life! And I'm sure some of you have already booked your hotels already. I asked one of the my friends which hotel he preferred and he told me to slow down. :giggle:

I took Tal's advice and book my room at CP...like she said it's only a $150 deposit, and the rest is paid when you stay. That way you lock in the price right now before they decide to raise them also! I requested to be in the Forum tower so I can be as close to the Colosseum as possible! Yeah...can't wait for Thursday...it's going to be a little stressfull!

Yea, planning is important.

I am excited, too. It's hard not to be. At the same time I know we're ALL going to be crying. LOL.

I can see it now. The ushers open the doors to the "salon" after the show has ended and a wave of salt water gushes through.

Man are those nights going to be THE nights. Talk about up and down. It will be incredible!

Yeah! I feel exactly the same way! I am excited but also I know it's going to be such an emotional night when the show finally comes to an end.

It's weird. I feel like I've grown up a lot with the show. I mean, I definitely have... not BECAUSE of the show, but, you know, with it. I was 17 when it started and will be 22 when it ends. So much has changed, friends have come and gone, some have stayed, thoughts and points-of-view have morphed into different things, and I have most definitely learned a lot of valuable lessons!

It's been such a regular routine of mine to go there! Like looking at the clock at work and saying "Ope... time to go home!". Instead it's been "Ope... it's time to go to Vegas!"

BUT I am so looking forward to the end because I am looking forward to deciding to spend my cash on seeing other artists like John Mayer, or Staind and others that I may like to see perform. I'll also be less likely to take a vacation to Las Vegas and will probably get my booty up and finally go visit my best friend (who I met though Celine fanship) in Maryland....or Fanny in France, or Cindy, Mathias, Stephanie and all the Dutchies in Holland, and maybe Tatiana in Brazil. You know... save up my money for trips like that instead of being in the mind-set of "Well, she is only this close for so long... I'd better take advantage while I can because who knows when I'll have the opportunity again".

It's a strange thing to explain because there's so much behind it for, I think, all of us! Whether we've seen the show or not, for us fans, the show has been such a "regular" and "stable" piece of discussion for us. It's kind of become, whether or not we intended for it to, a part of all of our stories and lives.

Isn't that weird how one person like Celine, or a couple hundred like the whole team can affect THOUSANDS of us like that?

OK-- enough for the thought. Haha. :rolleyes:

I have only been to Las Vegas twice to see Celine, and, in my financial situation, it's very difficult each time. I am saving up for this December trip, but I agree with Marisa in that it will be great to be able to use my money on the rest of my life.

My money will now be for trips to Maryland too (Maryland/West Virginia) to visit my family. I just recently moved all the way across the country, and it will be great to see my family whenever possible.

I also want to visit other places. I could never justify that before because of Celine being in Las Vegas. I will miss this show tremendously (and don't get me wrong... you'll probably see me crying like a baby in December).... but it also feels good to say goodbye to the show.

I'm gonna go from December 13th to 17th. I got my hotel already, Alexis Park Resort, I just need to get my air tix. I noticed that Continental Air is messing with their prices too for December. The flights are wide open but they raised their rate from $318 to around $350 in the last few weeks - :sick:

There are folks from ALL OVER THE WORLD - traveling a few miles (i.e. Erin), hundreds of miles (i.e. Ramona, moi et SoCal toi's, etc. ), thousands of miles (EuroPals and beyond)... and Anu and Salla who will bravely swim the treacherous Atlantic Ocean and bike across America to get Celine's attention! :mdr: ... KIDDING! (love ya, ladies! ) Regardless, we are all looking forward to this rendevous and we hope to make the most out of this!

I want to encourage you - that if you have any ideas, plans, suggestions, insights, and information on what we could do together, PLEASE TELL! Nothing is quite outrageous! I'm sure most things have been thought of before... :giggle:

i think the T shirt idea sounds great. that was when we stand up or whatever, Celine will see all of us true and dedicated fans. it has to be bright though or a distinctive color.
