Koolan Posted January 24, 2007 at 11:25 PM Posted January 24, 2007 at 11:25 PM When you were a young boyDid you have a puppyThat always followed you aroundWell I'm gonna be as faithful as that puppyNo I'll never let you down RDMH was amazing I've returned from the fabulous Las Vegas on Monday evening after spending the weekend there. Let me tell you- those 3 days were the most amazing and exciting experiences of my life! Not only is this my first time setting foot in Sin City but it's also my very first time attending Celine’s majestic show! I had great seats in the front orchestra 4 section for those 3 nights. Hmmm, where do I start? Since Love, (Sophoan) already wrote a detailed review for each one of the songs from the 20th, I'll just include what he left out. There may be some stuff that I didn't mention or does not make sense. Feel free to correct me or ask for clarification. Jan. 19 – Friday Night’s Alright! My flight left an hour and a half late due to some weather conditions en route to Vegas. Thankfully, it was a pretty comfortable ride as there was an empty seat between me and the other person on the same row. Six hours later, I finally arrived in Vegas, took my 2 carryon bags and headed towards the baggage claim area. There, I met Ramona and Angela for the first time. We then proceeded to the car on our way to the Montelago Casino in Lake Las Vegas to have dinner. Afterwards, all 3 of us left for Ramona’s condo where we were staying for the weekend, along with three other friends. Six of us together, with me being the only GUY!!! How lucky can one get? Upon arriving at Caesar’s Palace, we stopped by the box office to check which tickets were available for my first ever show. After a short while, I got tickets for Front Orch4 JJ419. They told me these were great seats, near the middle with a nice view of the stage at eye level so you can see a good part of the stage without having to move your head. There was enough time for me to go check out the boutique. The ambience was very nice with the various music videos playing on the TV screens up on top. I stopped for a few minutes to check them out. After looking around the store for a good 15 minutes, I decided on getting a shot glass which costs $8. It was finally time for us to go in the colosseum, oh the excitement of the first time!! A couple of notes about the camera placement- the crane was to the left side on the first mezzanine section, orchestra??, the moving sideway camera on the front orchestra4 row. So here I am seated with my eyes wide open, looking around the colosseum and being amazed at how intimate this place really is. The people on my row were mostly older people, I thought to myself, “they are probably not going to stand up and cheer”. Some minutes later, the glass shattered before my eyes…the first notes of A New Day Has Come played whilst the 2 crew cameramen slowly walked from the front right towards the back of the stage. It looks to be great shots of Celine while making her entrance to the ground. I was having goose bumps during the very first few minutes. After the end of a song (forgot which), Celine was like, “I am sorry, I was talking to someone from mars…mmm kkk.. we don’t have to redo the song.” Then, there was this time when one of the audience yelled out something (I think it was I love you) after the performance of Seduces Me, that must’ve distracted her cause she forgot to say the usual line, “You wanna try that chair?” For almost the entire show, my eyes were fixated to Celine! I knew I was going to see it at least once more so what the heck, focus on the other parts next time, hehe. River Deep Mountain High is the highlight of the show, man, can this woman be any hotter? Those legs of hers are amazing, I was staring at them in awe The audience was very good tonight, to my surprise my row wasn’t as boring as I expected. Jan. 20 – Oh What a Night! We arrived in Vegas a few hours before show time. One of the interviewers, Nadia was near the entrance talking to some fans. Ramona went to talk to her and then came to me to say that both Angela and I are going with her. At this point, I knew I was going to finally be able to meet Celine! I was so psyched and nervous, butterflies started to rattle in my stomach. So, Nadia handed me this consent form to give them permission to use the videos of me. After a brief talk, she said due to lack of time, Celine wouldn’t be able to make an appearance. Some of us were bummed out, myself included. So, we stood near the box office for a little while before we headed towards the entrance where we were greeted by Patrick Angelil and the camera crew who followed (and filmed) each step of the way from the entrance to the elevator, through the hallway and finally to the Green Room. The room is actually orange, why is it called the Green Room? There must be like 15 of us to meet Celine, we all sat down in a U-shaped seating. During that time, Patrick spoke to us and instructed everyone to stand up when Celine steps in, the order of the meet, and where to go after taking the photo. One of the woman had us rehearse for the meeting, she was like, “pretend that I’m Celine, speak to me”. Each one of us had the chance to say something. Keep in mind, this was all being filmed so it doesn’t make it any easier. Ramona introduced me to Patrick and said a little about the Forum and the Fan's Wishlist. Finally, after maybe 10-15 minutes Celine comes in, we all stood up for her and smiled. My heart was beating at an increasingly rate, I couldn’t believe she was only like a few feet away from me. She greeted Ramona like an old friend and made some jokes with her. Then she introduced Angela and me. I shook her hand and said “nice meeting you Celine” OMG, I was really nervous that I didn’t say what I wanted to tell her previously on the rehearsal. All those cameras in your face coupled with the other fans watching doesn’t make it any easier. Afterwards, the 3 of us took a group photo with Celine. I have to say that Celine looked small in person, she seemed to be really tired judging from the bags under her eyes. Poor Celine! it must’ve been an exhausting week. Soon after, we were guided to the elevator up to the colosseum and to the seats. By this time, it was already past 8:30PM. For today’s show, I sat in Front Orch4 FF401, right on the end of the row. The moving camera on the front row is gone and the crane is now shifted to the right side and more towards the stage. There is this one cameraman who only records the audience on the side of orchestra4. Surely enough, he was on my right side almost the entire time. I felt a bit uncomfortable while he was like literally a few feet away with the camera facing towards us. I was reluctant to turn my head to the right right, As for the audience, the energy from them tonight was absolutely amazing! Like the first 5-6 rows all stood up after each song and cheered like wild animals. Of course, I had to do my part and scream. Obviously, Celine feeded off all of this energry from us, she was in a state of shock to have this type of reception from the audience, something that doesn’t happen on any other regular night Boy, she really gave 150% of herself tonight, this is exactly the kind of energy she needs from the audience. My hats off to everyone in the front orchestra, incredible JOB!! Today’s show and audience was clearly the best out of the 5 nights despite the technical difficulty during RDMH. Jan. 21 – When You Were a Young Boy…This was the final and most unusual night, lol I had front row tickets on Orch4 AA 403. Ramona, Angela, Tati and I were sitting on the same row, the Dutchies were behind us. For tonight’s show, there were 2 cranes on the back of the stage, one on the left and one on the right. About 15-20 minutes later, one of the dancers came on stage to let the crowds know that this show would be filmed and that there was a little surprise for us. She said Rene is going to make an announcement. We all cheered for him as he made his way to the middle of the stage. What immediately caught my eye is the fact that he seemed to have gained weight, there was also a cloud of dust on his right leg Rene told everyone, “After reviewing the shots of the audience, the director of the taping says they didn’t come out that clear due to the lighting.. so tonight, there will be more light focusing on the audience. He told the audience to applaud, give a standing ovation after each song. Rene told everyone to pretend he's Celine on stage...so we did the rehearsals on the count of three. Rene was really funny- he went on to say the show is NOT cancelled tonight, approached the front and went like, “knock on wood” … can we find any wood in Vegas? Everyone started laughing… At one point, Rene said he will be singing 2 songs on stage He also suggested everyone not chew gum as it looks bad on tape, I thought he was serious about that at first lol Well, he finally left after being on stage for a good 15 minute. My guess is that he wanted to entertain us knowing that Celine will be late for the show. Moreover, I think they just wanted the audience on the last day to give their best so he had to use that as a reason. Celine was in great shape tonight, everything was flawless. It was unbelievable to be so close to Celine on stage. The funny thing is that I was really camera-conscious tonight since the 2 cranes on the back were filming the front most of the time. Throughout the show, I had to resist from scratching my nose After the performance of The Power of Love, the guy next to Angela was like, “more love songs” to which Celine responded, “I love love songs, you’ll hear many love songs tonight.” This person turned out to be an obnoxious one, contrary to what I’ve thought. He even had the nerves to use his cellphone during the beginning of my heart will go on. When that song was over, he got up and left the stage while the band was taking its final bows. Talk about being rude! Anyways, rewind back to RDMH during the verse where she goes “when you were a young boy………” Celine was looking straight at my eyes for a good 10 seconds! : I smiled back at her that was the highlight of the show for me! My flight was the very next morning, it was so sad for this to come to an end. My eyes were teary while at the airport, I couldn't believe it was all over.. so fast!! On the plane, I was listeninig to the recent recordings...it surely brings back the memories. I cannot wait to see what they have done with all the raw footage of the shows, the DVD/BD is going to be truly spectacular and beyond our expectations especially considering the fact that many of the familiar faces will be on the video.. I had the opportunity to meet many fans from different ethnicities from across the globe during my stay at Vegas; Ramona, Angela, Kimberly, Tanja, Alanna, Salla, Anu, Sophoan, Stephanie, Mirielle, Tati, Estevam, Marisa, Mathias, Cindy, Suzanne, and some others. It was such a great warm feeling to be surrounded by many who share the same passion. Celine fans definitely have that “special” bond. I couldn’t ask for more- I saw the show for the first time, got to meet Patrick and Celine along with a photo, sat front row on the last night, and to be part of this once in a lifetime taping! This experience will forever remain in my heart, it’s the most unforgettable days of my life. ....I’m already having Vegas withdraws Lastly, I wanted to say that all this wouldn’t have been made possible without the help of one extremely special fan, Ramona. My most sincerest thanks goes out to her. I will remain forever grateful. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Koolan Posted January 24, 2007 at 11:56 PM Author Posted January 24, 2007 at 11:56 PM A few tidbits left out: - After I Wish (unsure) one of the cameraman near the steps was shaking his head as he was walking towards the right side in front of row AA. I wondered what happened. - Woman in orchestra3 cried after IIC, I knew she'd get the rose. Otherwise, Celine would probably have given it to me or Angela.- I inadvertentley brought the camera into the colosseum without them finding out. It was in a tiny anewday shopping bag. Photos soon! tativale Posted January 25, 2007 at 03:26 PM Posted January 25, 2007 at 03:26 PM One final tidbit: on sunday's show during RDMH, you could see some of the hair on the lower part of Celine's legs. whoever shaved her did a half-#ss job. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea, her legs were pretty hairy! She needs to wax them or something! When the light hits it - it goes wild! She still looks good, though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hahha you guys are so funny!!! LOL I didn't noticed it lol she doesnt have many hairs on her legs even on her arms. I think I won't be able to do a review. Many things were already told. I don't have words for this trip. There are things I'll never forget!!!!! "Do you wanna try that chair?" lolo Sundy night was AMAZING!!!!!!
