well i was in my origins of literature class just hours ago and in the middle of a class dicussion on gilgamesh, or gilgy as i call him, suddenly celine dion breaks into "coz im your lady" i get a rather shocked face on because its my phone, and its probably that hot guy i met a few days ago from mysapce calling "and you are my man" my teacher threatenly jokes that he should answer the phone "whenever you reach for me ill do all that i can". it was my father and i turn it on silent. teach then goes into a story of a guy once whose phone went off by meowing in class. the boy turned bright red and was so embarassed and said his little sister was playing with his phone. his phone never rang again. he then said that celine dion is a little bit better but does not want to hear her unless she is walking in the door. i gushed at the thought of celine walking into my classroom, i would probably faint if she did. and i admitted to the clas that i was not embarassed by my ringtone and i will be the first person to admit i love celine! one girl in class later confided in me that she was singing along.

 

the real travisty here, the real injustice is that my teacher with all his degrees and years experience thought that celine was "a little bit better" than a cat meowing! how rude is that!

that happened to me once. i was in a class and everyone knew (and teased me) that i was a celine fan.

 

so one night i forgot to put it on vibe and TTWII goes off SO loudly and everyone burst out laughing. i swear i wanted to crawl in a hole and die.

A little self-confidence, please! I would NEVER ever feel embarassed for a Céline ringtone or whatever. Once I was on a ferry from Dover to Calais and there I spent one pound on video jukebox just to let all my class mates hear and watch the video to Céline's IDAN along with the whole ship lounge, of course. I mimmed the song along and did not give DAM. Everyone was having a good time. But I dunno about the US...here in Germany there are many ppl who really like her and aren't afraid to admit it. Even on the university there were quite a few that mentioned Céline's name when we spoke about music. And yes, nobody laughed. So I don't understand what's the fuzz about that Céline hate over in the US.

 

They should TRY to hate Céline in front of Bunifa Shareefa Latifa Moriifa Funifa Jackson's eyes! They would be treated with somethin'!

It's funny because I have a story too that happened during the trip yesterday morning! A friend of mine and I were in a taxi cab, and all of a sudden, the taxi-driving lady jerked her head and asked, "Did I hear a moew or something; or does any one of you have a cell phone that purrs?" LOL ( Jose, do you remember this? )Anyway, we went on to talk about different ring tones, and I told her you could also get one that sound like people moaning!

one is set for the defeat ringtone, and one is for alarm clock, and the other 10 are for different people

my phone is always rung by different Celine's songs, but I would never feel embarassed

also, when people asked me what song it is, I'm proud to say that it's a Celine Dion's song

But is your phone able to record voices or stuff?

Because to download things to my cell phone is really expensive, so I recorded the song in this part where we can record voices and then saved it as my ringtone. of course it's not so perfect as it'd be if I downloaded it, but it's a form of having Céline in your cell phone as well!

Nice story. Pity my phone is almost 4 years old now! There's only 16-polyphonic ringtone function with it, so now it is some ding-dong theme of One Heart. It would have cost me much to buy a new phone (Only allowance from a single parent) But if I managed to buy one, the first thing I'd do is plugging it in to the USB port and copy the mp3 file from my PC!
