New Album Promotion

I know lots of people will sniff at this but do a youtube search for "Celine Dion 2007" and then a "Britney 2007" and compare what you find- there are absolute masses more vids and material out there talking about Britney's plans for the year ahead..and very little for Celine- most of these seem to be fanmade.

 

****Firstly this isn't a Celine vs Britney thread*** so LETS NOT GET INTO THAT...I just wanted to highlight the buzz that surrounds other artists is sometimes lacking with Celine.

 

This year and 2008 are gonna be very exciting for Celine...we need to raise her profile somehow, more than before. It'll pay off...

Bellamy- did you not read my post?! I said this wasn't about a Britney/Celine comparison- I don't give a plop about Britney or her music- I just wanted to highlight the efforts of (seemingly) large numbers of other artists' fans in promoting them.

 

And Sayyed- cool cool! I look forward to it- I don't have a clue or the software to edit vids.

So why bring Britney into this topic? I don't even think Britney is an artist, or those people on youtube post her videos really about her music more than her personal life. No matter what the fans do, a controversy entertainer like Britney would always have more press about her than a singer like Celine. that's a fact. Of course I don't mean Celine get the proper promo. I just think there's no need to compare the promo between Britney and Celine.

i think all that is being said is that britney seems to get alsorts of press regardless of what it is....and her hits to rake in the money. celine bless her as we all know can sing her heart out way better than britney and anyone else for that matter....but celines music struggles and i agree that it is to do with promotion. here in the uk celine has been forgotten. celines team just try to keep things all hush hush till the time of release....which is wrong cause then there is no hype!

Thank you!!! it's up to us as Celine's fans to give her as much as she gives us. We can do it. She deserves that- far more than any other artist- as she is the MOST talented, beautiful, real and dedicated singer out there.

Artists like Celine and Barbra Streisand, and Britney Spears hardly need promotion with their big-time names.

 

Though us fans LOVE singles and videos, the artists just seem to do less promotion and seem to do just as well.

OH Gosh! I guess nobody paid attention to the part of Stevo's post which said he was not making any comparisons and begged not to enter in this topic.. But anyway... Talking about Céline promotion, I agree she has to have lots more promtion, and I'm willing to help... My time is becoming each time shorter, but I'll do what I can to help her!

Yes I have seen Celine in AND in LV, and she is amazing, but come on she is almost 40 years old! jajaja,, anyway, talking about the promotion, start putting in your msn's nicks something about Celine, like "Celine is Back", or something like that.

Well I'd love to do anything to promote Celine here in Thailand. Most people here know her by "The Titanic theme song singer" not "Celine Dion". I've painted my bag a large logo of hers. Made a homework planner with PQTME screensavers from Celinesmiles (Thanks for the beautiful screens, Clari). Wrote an essay and referred to one of Celine's song. And I've bought 2 new black t-shirts to be screened as well.

 

P.S. 2 years ago I'm thinking of naming one of my characters in Thai Ragnarok Online "Celine Dion" or else with her name if anyone has already taken the original. But unfortunately I was hacked and drained me out of money. So I quit. But I think after being accepted at a university, I will return to TRO and play it again. Using my main character name "Celine Dion"
