Celine is huge in Europe!

My friend sent this email to IFPI yesterday:

 

"I need an information.

 

In the page of IFPI site » resources » Awards » Certification Award Levels: « http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/platim...awards-2005.pdf » we see that the album, D'eux is 8xPlatinum in Europe and the album Falling Into You is 9x Platinum. This information are also on the book that IFPI released last year.

 

But in the page of IFPI Platinum Europe Awards « http://www.ifpi.org/content/section_news/plat_all_years.html » we don't see these albuns with the awards that the book says.

 

Can you tell me if D'eux is 8x Platinum (or 5x Platinum) and if Falling Into You is 9x Platinum (or 7x Platinum) in Europe?

Well, maybe I didn't say it right. Till yeasterday I thought that D'eux is only 5x platinum in Europe and Falling into you is 7x platinum. Now I know it was an IFPI mistake. Here is Celine sales in Europe:

wow that's great FIY and D'eux sold that much!!

 

Maybe TAST should be recertified too... cos every Christmas I see the album everywhere! Last year I also saw a 'cheap' version of TAST... It was the cd with any a folded cover, so no actual booklet. The backside was different too! It was only 6 euros... So I guess (hope) that sold a few copies too!
