Conan O'Brien joked during his Late Night monologue on Monday night, "A little showbiz news. Caesars Palace in Las Vegas has announced that after five years they've decided to end their exclusive concert engagement with Celine Dion. [Cheers and applause] Yeah. To maintain continuity, Caesars will replace Dion with a shrieking baby and a car alarm."

I love Conan. He's a comedic genius. His only fault is that he keeps making fun of Celine. But bombarding him with emails won't do a thing. They'll either ignore it, or find it hilarious and make it worse.

Well first of all I cannot stand Conan. I think he is the most obnoxious person alive. I have never nor will I ever watch his show. And I hate it when people make fun of Celine. She is such a nice and caring person and sometimes people take advantage of that and make fun of her. I think she has proven her popularity and how talented she is by her ticket sales from the past 4 years. Plus she decided to end the show, not Caesars Palace! So next time maybe he can get his facts straight.

I'm a fan of Conan's show, but unfortunately, as we all know, Celine is a performer who

has often been the punchline for many jokes. I think this has lessened in the past few years since she's been in LV but I'm sure we have not seen the end of this. I think Celine may be aware of this and I'm sure she is good natured about it. She's probably the first one to make fun of herself since she has a great sense of humor. I remember how there was a woman on the American show Saturday Night Live who did a skit that kind of poked fun at her about eight or ten years ago. Celine actually met with her on some other TV show I saw at one time and it turns out she was a big Celine fan.

This woman from Saturday Night Live was Ana Gasteyer...and she's a fantastic impressionist and comedian!

 

Celine loved it...I remember her talking about it when I went to her Let's Talk About Love concert. She said something along the lines of "So the other night, I was watching TV with my husband...and I was flipping through the channels, and I stop on Saturday Night Live." (the audience already is laughing because we ALL had seen those skits of "The Celine Dion Show") She went on to talk about how funny it was to see someone imitating her.

 

I like Conan. He's funny---yeah, annoying sometimes...but that's his TV personality. It's what has put him where he is. I think he just took a shallow stab at Celine because he knew it would get a cheap laugh. Doesn't mean he doesn't think she's a great singer.

Conan O'Brien is my favorite comedy host... he really makes me laugh on his late night shows. As for what he has said about Celine Dion, it was just a joke though it will also hurt a lot of people. But we must think that it is better forus not to be get mad about it but try to tellConan or whoever made it that they shouldn't make such jokes cos it can drive some people crazy and hurt.

Analizing the situation well I guess that's really what he was referring to... Then shrieking baby = Cher and car alarm = Bette Milder

 

But If it was to make fun of Céline, I'm sure one day he'll have to swallow all the words he spoke! And you know what? I think we all should get together and make a comedy program! Then, whenever we had the possibilty we would just make fun of him... and when we started we'd never stop!

 

About Leno going out I didn't know either... Leno is nice, I like him... This conan I've never seen... I guess...
