Esty Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:24 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:24 PM Celine's songs have been discussed many many times musically (and lyically) but never the lyrics only. So in your opinion which songs are those that have amazing lyrics? That could stand on their own even... Quote
Gicedi Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:38 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:38 PM I love the lyrics of Je crois toi.... Quote https://youtu.be/D2KKDewXvJE
Teodora Posted January 11, 2007 at 01:55 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 01:55 PM Basically everything Jean Jacques Goldman has written for her has brilliant lyrics. Luc Plamondon's "L'amour existe encore" too. I love the lyrics of "Where is the love", "Prayer", "If I Could", "Let's talk about love", "Miles to go before I sleep" and so on and so forth..there so many of them... Even the songs that don't have very poetic lyrics, are meaningful and say somthing. Quote

Zora Posted January 16, 2007 at 05:25 PM Posted January 16, 2007 at 05:25 PM Without a doubt Where Is The Love, so beautiful, and not so much of a love song like the others. Rock on Corey Hart Quote LIFE BEGINS WITH LOVE
Esty Posted January 17, 2007 at 03:14 PM Author Posted January 17, 2007 at 03:14 PM I would like to add to my list Tonight We Dance. I was going through my Celine stuff and I came across this song. It has pretty cool lyrics! The refrain itself isn't too creative, but the song has its moments. For example I like the wordplay in it, how things are twisted out:"the bride is blessed, the table laid"and at the end bride and table are switched:"the table is blessed, the bride is laid". Quote
Elaine Posted January 20, 2007 at 04:19 PM Posted January 20, 2007 at 04:19 PM wow!Difficult question because I just love almost all the lyrics... but here I go: If that's what it takesBecause you loved mePour que tu m'aimes encoreS'il suffisait d'aimerThe power of the dreamThat's the way it isThen you look at meThe prayer Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

Mozinha Posted January 20, 2007 at 08:28 PM Posted January 20, 2007 at 08:28 PM Anything french is amazing and miles ahead the english ones. I love Luc Plamondon's work but Goldman is more subtle, more sensitive I guess. I think he captures Céline better than anyone. And I love Venerusso too, Sous le Vent is brilliant. My top 10 lyrics are: 1- L'amour existe encore2- Je t'aime encore3- Rien n'est vraiment fini4- Sous le vent5- Tu nages6- S'il suffisait d'aimer7- J'attendais8- Pour que tu m'aimes encore9- Je crois toi10- Le vol d'un ange Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/welovecelinedion/howcute5gv2.jpghttp://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10501;104/st/20080413/e/my+graduation/dt/4/k/f5ff/event.png "And really - isn't NOT caring about what others think of you the hallmark of a cool person?"
