betterone Posted January 11, 2007 at 11:39 AM Posted January 11, 2007 at 11:39 AM What do you think of if Celine colaborates with Annie Lennox? In Celine's Biography, it is written that the lyrics in French album are more impotant than that in Englsh Album. But, have you found that all Celine's English international hits all are with great lyrics? And I hate some lyrics in some albums released since ANDHC, including ANDHC.And Annie Lennox can compensate for that, if teaming up. I can find pains and struggles in her words. Of course, life is larger than that. So why not have a try? Quote
alextrusca Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:38 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 12:38 PM OMG, that would be so great...and they would be perfect vocally too... Quote

stevo Posted January 11, 2007 at 01:27 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 01:27 PM And Celine said on Tyra Banks that Lennox is one of her favourite artists out there- it would be epic if they got together...I wonder if she feels the same way about Celine Quote
Bellamy Posted January 11, 2007 at 02:48 PM Posted January 11, 2007 at 02:48 PM Annie's Diva album is one of Celine's favourite. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

BTW if i remmember correctly dido also talked about a future project with celine - she said she would love to...and chris martin said not so long ago that he wants to work with celine . if celine only wants to she can work with the most talented people and the hottest ones in the industry . alextrusca Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:27 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:27 PM oh, we don't even know if Annie likes Celine or her music...But I really want a duet with those two chicks. Quote
Esty Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:41 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:41 PM Well, I'd like a duet and if Annie would write a few songs for Celine's new English album! Quote
Boy Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:44 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:44 PM I'm a fan of Annie Lennox, 2, she's so amazing! Her songs and lyrics are incomparable. Surely it would be great if they record or song together but yeah, I agree, that's too good to be true... However, who knows? Quote Love comes to those who believe it...
Guest Reuben Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:49 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 12:49 PM (edited) Celine said in an interview to danish tv in 2002 that she would like to collaborate with Annie Lennox and Sting. I saw Annie live a few years ago, AMAZING! Edited January 12, 2007 at 12:52 PM by Reuben Quote
smw Posted January 12, 2007 at 05:17 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 05:17 PM This would be PHENOMENAL! Annie Lennox is a master of music and it would be outstanding if they combined talents---Celine's voice, Annie's lyrics, Annie's harmonizing---BEAUTIFUL! But I agree that Annie would probably not be too keen on this idea. She's not into "big success"--and she is all about making a statement and putting real emotion into music.....and while Celine is capable of all of that, she is just not as respected artistically. Bellamy Posted January 12, 2007 at 05:26 PM Posted January 12, 2007 at 05:26 PM I heard once Annie was asked in an interview if she thinks she's a good composer herself. Annie answered, if she is she would write songs for Celine Dion to prove it. But I can't find the source now, so I can't tell if it's really true. julien Posted January 13, 2007 at 06:30 PM Posted January 13, 2007 at 06:30 PM Come on guys, that´s the same deal again and again...Of course Celine should do amazing things in english, like for example having the the same sense of investigation as for her french work . But, Celine and Sony simply think that the english market (for not saying the American one) is just about vocal demonstration, big buzz and money hit. That´s why she prefers to work with Ne yo (??), Martin, and for not disappointing too much the eternel fan base, Alfanasief. That is just a pity. Quote

smw Posted January 13, 2007 at 08:12 PM Posted January 13, 2007 at 08:12 PM I wish that Annie would replace Celine in Vegas. I know that Annie would probably never consider that....but WOW would that be amazing! Her songs would translate SO well to a dramatic show. The only bad thing about it would be the fact that critics would probably say "Lennox finally puts Dion out of her misery and shows Vegas what true artistry is all about".....which would piss all of us off! But I really would think that an Annie Lennox show in Vegas would be spectacular! Even if only for a few months. Quote
Bellamy Posted January 14, 2007 at 03:55 AM Posted January 14, 2007 at 03:55 AM I don't think Annie really has the fan base to pull off a show like A New Day, especially not in Vegas, even she's really great. She's not that well known in the US like in UK, Euro. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

Perhaps Fri-Sun. performances for one to two months. It should be highly advertised with her popular songs. It could be such a superb show! Quote
