What can we do to promote Celine?

Hello all!! It's a v exciting time on the forum methinks at the moment- it's so great that we've had so much confirmed etc that we suspected months ago...I really hope Celine has a lot of success this year with the show and her new albums and then hopefully, with her tour that'll follow.

 

Can we do anything extra than normal to help make noise about up and coming songs etc from Celine? I really think we should make a concerted effort to push radio stations through requests and post wherever possible about her releases.

 

Fans can be very powerful- the amazing flash presentation that you guys did just shows the standard of what we expect...we can use our influence in numbers to make a difference...I hope.

 

Do I sound obsessed and militant? Good.

I think we could definately annoy all the radio and TV stations to play our Celine! If we keep insisting, they'll have to play it, because it will be in demand, right?!

other than the general things we should do like writing and asking radio stations to play her new single and buying her new single via the internet , we should also concentrate in our own countries cause noone knows what to do or who to call better than the people that live in the various areas around the world...

 

and stevo , u'll have to work really hard cause celine used to be huge in the u.k and even without any promotion she is still selling there...we should do everything in our power to make sure this will be her big comeback not only in the u.s. but in europ too and the most important market in europ is the u.k.

 

i already wrote about it few times here , we should make an official plan so each and every fan will know what he/she has to do in order to promote her first english single and album...we still have time but we have to start few weeks before the release of the first single to make sure it will be celine's first hit in many many years

First, you should make a wager with Sony to see how much they are willing to pay you to promote Celine...

I will work my fingers to the bone...I just want to see Celine-Hype hit the UK again...it'd be so so great- I was thinking that x-factor (UK version of American Idol) runs from late summer to Christmas- it would be great if Celine could guest-appear in 2007- it'd coincide nicely with a late 2007 English release- and Simon Cowell and Celine have worked together in part through Cowell's Il Divo...if only we ran Celline's Management...

I tried requesting Celine's singles a lot on the radio during ANDHC, OH and the Miracle single releases and I think I annoyed the radio stations to much because they seemed to play her less. So it could back fire on us, but we can try. I think the biggest push has to come from Sony or some kind of promotion because it seems these days that the only songs getting played on the radio are the ones that the record companies are pushing with money....they don't seem to really care about what the public/fans want to hear.

request her new song on all radio stations a and request her new video on MTV and all music channel not once but a thousand times. LOL!

 

But seriously, requesting on radio stations and on MTV and other music channel helps a lot. It is like showing them that that are still a lot of people who love and like Celine. Plus, promote to our friends as well.

1 visit to the u.k and her album will be one the biggest albums of the year there ...all she has to do is pay a visit after sooooooooooooooooooooo long...i cant believe they neglected this market completely since 2002

When the moment is there (especially in the US): REQUEST!!

 

Requesting is the key over there, BUT it does require tactics. For one, don't say you're a fan.. most of the times they will misuse it (like taunt you by not playing it). Just say you really like the new song or something similar.

 

What we can do at this very moment is make banners, avatars and let people (non-fans) know she has some great new albums coming (by posting on various of fora, contacting media outlets or mouth-to-mouth)..

When "A new day has come" was released here in Brazil it was one of the 5 most played on the radios around here every day! And I guess that was because of the fans who called the radio stations all the time... I called some.. less than I should, I know, but I don't think they're going to get so annoyed to the point of not playing her songs anymore... They have to remember that the less they play, the more they are annoyed!! LOL

yes. we should also make celine dion signatures saying she's back and use it in other non celine dion message board or forums.
