The Perfect Trip To Las Vegas

Hey everyone,

I'm planning a trip to Vegas and I would love help from all of you!

I've been to Vegas several times before to see Celine...but this time I really want to plan it out and save all the money I can, yet still have a very pleasant stay. So can I get some advice from those of you who have gone before?

I would like to stay on the strip again(to avoid pouring my money into a taxi ride). So what are some of the cheaper options on the strip(yet still nice)?

Just any advice would be great! :bye1:

If you want cheap and nice on the Strip, my advice is Circus Circus.

The pros:

Very nice rooms (very large and confortable, very clean and quiet during night)

Very cheap

Very nice staff

Very nice food

The coolest amusement park ever (the adventuredome)

The free circus acts (I watched all of those lol)

The midway games, very cool games, I won tons of stuffed animals there

Overall very nice service. I loved it. If ever I go back to Vegas, I'm going back to Circus.

The cons:

It's not exactly close to Ceasers, I'm afraid... Expect a 20 minute walk. When I went there I was alone and kinda scared so I didn't dare walking from Ceasers to Circus alone at midnight so I had to pay a taxi. It was not that very expensive, something around 10 dollars.

I loved the hotel and I didn't mind walking. Actually I love walking and that's what I really wanted to do during the day. I once walked from Circus to Mandalay Bay and then back to Circus. My poor legs were killing me by the end of the time but it was too much fun!

If walking is not your thing, forget about it.

A little advice about meals. I saved a lot of money by eating at the mall, Fashion Show. Very nice and cheap food. I always had my lunch there and it was very nice!

The Aladdin isn`t very expensive and its accross the street from Ceasars! I haven`t stayed there personally, but I went in and it looks pretty cool. As for air fare I think Jet Blue is the best. Have you tried priceline, hotwire, or expedia? you can do a vacation package and save a bundle. That`s what I usually do.

You should stay at either Imperial Palace or Barbary Coast if you want to save money and yet stay on The Strip ánd close to Caesars. But it depends on when you're planning to go, because IP will be imploded sometime next year..

I heard the Bally's is affordable as well? And it's in front of Caesars.

I've stayed at MGM and the Wynn....but since I'll be trying to save some money this time....those two aren't exactly cost cutters.

I have heard great things about Circus.....I think I'll check into that. It's not like I'll be spending much time at the hotel anyway. I love walking around and looking at all the hotel lobbies.

As far as walking, I love it! But my best friend whose going with me, doesn't like it so much. But we wouldn't want to walk to the Celine show anyway....since we'll be in nice clotehs.

Thanks for the suggestions. We'll be going in March. Will probably hold off on the tickets until early February.

Keep me updated on any other valuable info. :flowers:

I stayed at Bally's during my last visit. It's not expensive compared to most hotels at the Strip. I really have no complaints about Bally's. It's exactly in the center of the Strip and very near to Caesars.

Anyways, I heard Barbary Coast, Flamingos and Imperial Palace ain't too bad either. You can always check their websites and compare the prices from there.

Yeah Circus Circus is a great place to stay if you're on a budget as is Imperial Palace. One thing I would say about Circus Circus though is make sure they don't put you in the Manor Rooms as they are Travelodge style apartments out the back of the main hotel and aren't very nice. Always request a Tower Room.

I've got the exact opposite problem, for my visit to Vegas for the final show in December i'm planning to go all out and get a really fancy room. :)

I agree! For December I want to go all out...If you go to Vegas.com and check the hotels for December, they are relatively cheap for the last week...I might end up staying at Caesars then (less that $200 a night which is pretty good). I want that trip to be a really memorable one!

But for my trip in March I might go back to IP...it's SOOOOOOO close to Caesar's which is great!

I'm a twin mommy just like Celine!

Sophia and Anthony arrived on December 28, 2010

Absolutely. Chances are I'll not be back in Vegas, or at least not for a very long time, so I want to make it a memorable stay. I'll probably book flights and hotels in the summer online. Much much better to book in online as it's so much cheaper than a travel agent.

I'm with you guys on this one. When I go for the final show in December... if I can swing it, I want to stay somewhere nice this time. It shouldn't be too hard for us to do... as we have a whole year to plan!

Last year I stayed at the Aladdin which I got for a VERY good deal using a promo code that I found. When they come again this year, I'll post promo codes to (hopefully) help everyone get a good deal.

When I go this August, I'll be looking for cost-cutters as well. We tend to eat a lot of fast-food in Vegas, just because of price. My Aladdin deal included 2-for-1 breakfast buffets, so that was our breakfast each day. For lunch, we did a lot of McDonalds (near Harrah's), Subway (in Casino Royale), etc. There are also a bunch of fast food places in the Venetian (Panda Express, etc.).
