What's your favorite song in A New Day...?

When I saw the show last May- my first time seeing Celine- I remember I didn't breathe throughout PQTME. It's pure Celine- she was doing all her little ad-libs that have become so familiar. It's one of my favourite songs that she has ever recorded and seeing her sing it live was incredible- I was crying. And the camera zooms into her face and she just stares up at you from that huge screen as if she's singing just for you. It was magical. So for that memory, I choose PQTME. I don't really remember IS much in the show cos I was hyperventilating. And for TPOL I couldn't see much cos my heart was pulsing the blood so hard in my veins that I was temporarily blinded. I love Celine and AND so so much. We are so lucky to have her. She's the best singer in the world and what she has given us over 4 years in this show is amazing.

 

I agree with you completely. She's mind-blowing and I would never dedicate so much of my time to any other living performer.

I love the Sinatra songs for a couple of reasons.

 

First of all, I think that type of music is classic and just wonderful.

 

Also, I love how passionate Celine is about it. I think it's special to tribute the man who gave so much to Las Vegas and to music in general...and he's one of Celine's favorite singers--if not her absolute favorite.

Pour que tu m'aimes encore is a great song, but I've heard better versions than those she did in A New Day, I'd say Seduces Me, River Deep, Mountain High and Fever are/were really good ones from the show

A BIG yawn at the votes for "I Surrender". I mean PUHHHHHLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE! That song is so wrong and the delivery is bombastic as hell. It would sound so much better with piano & toned down vocal.

 

As for my favorites: I am praying she will not butcher RDMH live on the DVD taping day. Hopefully it will be a better rendition than on the Divas Live DVD which was so cold. Yes, RDMH would be my favorite along with the amazingly haunting Ammore.

To Me The Power Of Love is the "touchest" song, it shows the power of celine, her moves with the hands and mouth are amazing!

I would have said PQTME, but since I am voting for the best performed song I will have to say RDMH everything about that performance is just amazing!

I love the whole show, but my vote goes to I Surrender! It is so amazing in the show with the fire and all!! So powerful! In general I prefer the up-tempo songs in the show like IA, IDAN and I love the start of the show with ANDHC! I have yet to see RDMH in the show.. IACBTMN is also great and the Italian song as well... Aah, like I said the whole show is amazing!
