SuperLove4Celine Posted December 3, 2006 at 02:55 AM Posted December 3, 2006 at 02:55 AM While enjoying These Are Special Times for the holiday season it got me to thinking about how Celine worked with Diana Krall on "Blue Christmas." A lot of fans would love to have Celine release a jazz album. So, with that said, would you guys want to have Celine work with Diana Krall on her next album? Either just on piano, or perhaps a duet? Personally, I'd love to hear them collaborate. They're both so very talented in each of their fields! ...Joe... Quote

Bruno Portugal Posted December 3, 2006 at 09:11 AM Posted December 3, 2006 at 09:11 AM A duet with Diana Krall would be perfect... Of course my answer is... YES Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION

Céline's Blues Posted December 3, 2006 at 01:13 PM Posted December 3, 2006 at 01:13 PM Sofa, it is still an official collaboration. Even if they did it separately. I would say definitely! Céline needs some quality staff around her b-a-d-l-y! If she wants to succeed with her next English album her voice has to be packaged extravagantly, not cheaply, soullessly. ZoraSourit Posted December 3, 2006 at 10:10 PM Posted December 3, 2006 at 10:10 PM Céline worked with Shania on If Walls Could Talk and Goodbye's the saddest word. smw Posted December 4, 2006 at 05:02 AM Posted December 4, 2006 at 05:02 AM It would be fantastic for Celine to work with Diana again. Diana is superb in the field of music in which Celine obviously has an interest in...so Diana could give Celine some pointers in this genre of music. Quote

I'm just putting down the protocols here. Joseph made it seem like Celine "worked" with Diana, as though they did something together, such as a feature or a duet. When someone who is famous actually "works" with somebody, they get acknowledged in the official title tracks, not just in pin-sized prints next to the copyright year. She was a courtesy musician on this track, similar to how Shania and Chantal were courtesy vocalists lending extra background vocals on "All the Way" and "A New Day Has Come." Being the background musicians, they are not credited as being "Featured," I believe, also due to the fact that they would get paid more and receive more royalty. Quote

There had to be a meeting between Celine, Rene, and/or her people somewhere along the lines. So, unless you can completely prove to me and the rest of the board that they never met during this time and were never in the studio I really don't like it being implied that I was leading people astray to some falseness. Secondly, major artists who have made a significant contribution to a song on many of Celine's albums are not mentioned quite often. During the initial pressing of "All The Way" Peabo Bryson's name was not included on the back insert. All it said was "Beauty And The Beast." On the LTAL album Diana King and Brownstone are not mentioned on the back insert, howevery they did contribute a significant amount of work to "Treat Her Like A Lady." In "Halfway To Heaven" Kenny G is not mentioned on the back insert to the Celine Dion album, however he was the main instrument player on that track. For her French albums Jean-Jacques Goldman is hardly, if ever mentioned as being part of "J'irai où tu iras," "Les derniers...," etc. I could go on and on about how your above statements don't add up, nor are true. I don't want to attack you, but if you're going to make or imply alligations that I am leading people in a certain direction this is false or incorrect I'd most appreciate it if you would include conclusive evidence to back your statements up. firebird Posted December 5, 2006 at 02:26 PM Posted December 5, 2006 at 02:26 PM One reason why their collaboration wasn't commercially exploited like other Celine collaborations could be that Diana Krall came from a different music label.I'd like Celine to work with not only Diana Krall, but with some other jazz singers/instrumentalists.
