Traveling with Celine

I'm sure when most of us travel, we take our Celine CD's with us....or have something Celine-like. For example, when I'm on a plane...I always make it obvious when I'm putting in a Celine CD (well, before I had an I-pod)...in hopes that the person next to me would see it and we could talk about her! haha

 

And I always dig through the magazines and look for the ad on A New Day. It usually works, and I get a conversation kick started. Anyone else do this?

Wearing a Céline T-shirt works for me. Once I even got a room upgrade at Caesars Palace (to a room overlooking the Colosseum) because the receptionist spotted my T-shirt and asked if I was going to see the show

 

Now I've just got to work on my technique so that I get to meet the lady herself - FAT CHANCE

I tend to do that a lot. I start with a question "So what kindda music do you listen to" "Who is your favorite singer" and really I just wait till they answer so I can say "My favorite singer is Celine, I have all her english albums and I have this and that, and blah blah blah...and I've seen her Vegas show, and blah blah blah" lol I need to stop that

 

I also keep a team Celine mini frog in my car. And I tend to wear my Celine swaeter, where it says Celine Dion on the arm sleeve.

i have 6 mp3 songs (that's all i can have )and everytime someone ask me wich songs do you have? i say hear it for yourself..you will like it and sometimes we are in classes and i put the songs on so everybody in my classroom can hear celine (but then the teacher says turn off the music )

I have the funniest and coolest story, actually

I think it happened a month ago.

 

In San Francisco, there is a famous tunnel.

One day I happened to be in the city early in the morning. As I got done with what I had to do, I had to make my way to another part of town... therefore having to pass through that tunnel. And yes, my sunroof was opened as I enjoyed the beautiful morning sun and breeze of a warm San Francisco day.

 

Coincidentally as I made my way through the tunnel, "Sorry for Love" came on. The coolest thing happened, because the tunnel's sidewalk was full of several hundred people waiting in line to check in for work, and IMMEDIATELY the Sucking, Vaccuum Introductory Music of "Sorry for Love" blew out of my sunroof, and bounced off the inner walls of the tunnel, and turned the tunnel into a giant amplifier and echno chamber of Celine!!!

I like to take my Celine CD cases even if i don't have the actual CD with me. I personally enjoy reading the booklets when I'm not doing anything else, and sometimes I'd raise it in front of my face so that everyone can see it and someone would realize I was trying to start something. Then we'd probably spring into some odd conversation that ends up with something like apple pie...

But, there was this one time I was holding up the Miracle album booklet and was reading it on a coach bus on my way to somewhere and this woman sitting across from my was like,

"Who's on the cover of that?" I look at her as if she grew another head and said, "it's Celine Dion." And, get this, she was like,

"Who's Celine Dion? Is she an Enlish singer or something?"

I would seriously sit on that woman if I had the choice. LOL

yeah i feel your pain...i do that "whos your favourite singer?" thing and oce when i responded they were like whos celine dion? i was like OMG OMG are you serious!! (i felt like smacking her too) and then i went into sweet mode and was like well..."she is the youngest of 14 children....." and went on forever until she was like oh you mean the titanic girl/ and i was like NOOO its My Heart Will Go On!!!

I try to combine my everyday things with Celine. I've painted Celine's Logo on my bags with Acrylic. And I've made a Celine homework planner. So that it would attracted me to keep up. And my friends always asked when they saw the "Celine-Stuff" : "Did you buy it?" and was stunned when I told them I made it myself. Looking forward to do somemore with my pencil case and other things. I'm so proud to be a Celine Fan!!!!

i know!!it happened to me too!!but it was on msn, a friend we were talking...and then he asked me who's the girl in your avatar??and i was like you don't know who she is??? is Celine Dion!!and he sid is she an actress?? NOOOOO she is a singer!!the best!!,and i was like ok i'l try to name the songs and see if he regocnize some: have you heard this song, and what about this one? and then something came up to my head, must of ppl knows Celine fot the song MHWGO, and i told my friend ok she is the girl who sings the soundtrack of the movie titanic..and he was like really!!??i know who she is!i love that song!! anyway now he likes celine
