It's So me to open up a thread like this!

 

But I must say that many of you, like me, wants to dress-to-impress when you go see "A New Day..."

 

So, in this thread, let's discuss about clothing and fashion choices. Let's discuss what you've worn when you've gone to previous events, and also what you plan to wear to future events. If you are stuck and need help in choosing something to wear, post it here and get opinions! And of course... let's be honest with each other...

 

AND must I say, it's double important for those of us going in January for the taping of "A New Day...'s" DVD. You will be immortalized in 16mm-65mm film!

Well...

That's quite logical because they're shooting for many nights straight, with multiple cameras... so HD digital cameras would be much affordable for them.

 

Here is a system they might be using if they use High Definition Digital:

Panavision HD-900F High Definition Camera System

 

However, the most superior quality is the world's greatest film camera.

What you see in most theatres are shot on 35mm film.

Now imagine being able to magnify that 3 more times! This is what 65mm can do! The ARRIFLEX 765 is LARGER THAN LIFE ITSELF! But talking about thousands and thousands of yards of film for this project, shooting days after days could cost millions!

 

Whatever format they use, they will transfer into digital anyway.

Anyway, on Saturday, I bought a new cocktail-type little black dress for my company's xmas party. I was thinking it would be idea for the show, with my killer heels and my white faux fur cropped jacket.

 

(I am currently fasting to make sure it fits perfectly on the night of 16th December! )

I'm trying to get inspiration from some of my favorite fashion houses. Unfortunately, this season that we are about to pass has been drabbed because of what's happening in our world culture and its affect on the color forecast - so everything was neutral, dark, and/or black. Spring will spring soon, but still I don't see a lot of colors, even from flamboyant designers such as Roberto Cavalli and Celine's bud John Galliano. And if it's flamboyant, it's a bit over-the-top in art and design.

 

But I found three inspirations after going over many spring 2007 shows.

Tell me what you think.

I don't know if I'd wear any leather jacket, let alone... JACKET, period, into the Colosseum nor Vegas. However, people have been telling me that January is COLD. But anyway, this outfit's HOT!!!

I LOVE the third outfit, Sofa.

 

Personally I go with something cheap but also pretty cute.

 

My Thursday (30th) meeting was pushed back to January because Celine got sick.... but luckily I already know what I'm going to wear. It's safe and simple so... I can't go wrong with it.

 

EXPRESS

 

Black Editor pants w/semi-wide waistband (a classic).

Medium blue classic button-down work blouse.

 

Look: Shirt tucked into the pants; NO BELT; Simple black bead necklace (one or two strand); Simple black earrings; Black Steve Madden satin pumps; Finishing touch of "Notes" parfum.

 

 

 

 

As for NEW YEARS EVE I haven't decided yet. I have a couple of ideas.

 

I'll probably go with something like a long sleeved dress with a low/real low neck line. Depending on where the hem-line of the dresses I have in mind fall on me I may adjust those. I like to show some leg.

I've just come back from Vegas on Saturday. I was really expecting people to dress-to-impress like u said, but it's really not the case. No offense to anybody, but I think people in Europe are much better dressed than there You need not worry. Dress to feel good about yourself in what you're wearing and you'll be fine.

You're right.

Most Europeans follow the dress codes.

 

I also feel that the tickets for these shows are pretty high-priced. Also, it's a magical experience; so each person ought to dress nice.

All I can say is that we just decided to go to Vegas in August & December (the last show), and I am ALREADY thinking about what to wear. I can't help it.
