Bellamy Posted February 10, 2005 at 12:19 PM Posted February 10, 2005 at 12:19 PM To love unconditionally is to love under any circumstance. The reality is that many of us have a serious problem with understanding this; it seems so easy for a person to fall so deeply in love with someone, but how are we to know if we truly are in love? When someone says "I love you," do they really mean it? The truth is, love is such a powerful force that it can bring happiness but unfortunately it also brings pain. Anyone can say "I love you," but only a few can live up to it. When you tell someone these words, it means that you vow to love and abide by this person no matter what may occur. This conjures up many questions though. Can two people fall in love when there is such a big difference in their age? Can a person fall in love with another when they are seriously involved with someone else? Can two people go against the odds of their ethnic or racial background and still find happiness together? You be the judge. Issues concerning love and age have been addressed many times and still are being discussed. Some people simply disagree that two people with a great age difference should even consider being together. However, it should not be that way. When you love someone, regardless of what anyone says, be it your mother, father, or friend, no one should tell you otherwise. When a young lady or man reaches the age of 18, they should be free to fall in love with anyone they want to. Thus, if a 21-one year-old man wants -to be with a 40-year-old woman, who are we to tell him that he is wrong? In the same way, a young lady (over the age of 18) who falls in love with a man who is more than twice her age should not be disgraced: What people fail to understand is that love does not discriminate. We cannot persuade a young lady to like someone her own age if her heart centers around another person. The famous singer Celine Dion married her manager/producer despite their 26 year age difference. They See to love unconditionally, were married from 1994 and it seems that they are still enjoying each other's love. We have to make the choice to love unconditionally for ourselves The late singing sensation Aaliyah's message in her song "Age Ain't Nothing but a Number," seems appropriate. We should open our hearts to true love and pay no mind to what others may say about our own life because love is not something that comes to us everyday of our life. Love is such a serious feeling. You could be the most 'macho' man or 'cold-hearted' woman, but when you fall in love with someone, your whole life changes. Again, I say how is one to know when one is in love? There are different ways that people measure love. The truth is, many people bounce back and forth, from one relationship to the next before they find someone who they truly love. Sometimes people find themselves hurt so many times that they settle down with someone they know they have no future with. Even when the 'right' person comes along they refuse to follow their heart because they are afraid of getting hurt again. "I have a boyfriend and we are getting married," is what a young lady may say, but deep down inside she knows that she is not ready to get married to this guy nor is she happy staying with him. Why then doesn't she do what is right and be with the person she really loves? Her decision may cause this young lady to miss an opportunity to be loved unconditionally by the person she would feel the happiest with. She may lose someone who is willing to support her in everything she does, stick by her side when she is not at her best, sacrifice what he has to make her happy and go to the end of the earth for her, no matter what people may say. This loss is something that no one wants to experience, but so many people end up in this position. They are afraid of changes, even for the best, and accept their current state simply to feel safe, when they truly aren't. I am black and you are white; can we love each other? I am a waitress and you are a lawyer; can we still fall in love? You are royalty and I am a commoner: is it right to be together? These are some of the many barriers that hinder a couple from being together. The differences in status, racial, social or economic backgrounds are just a few reasons why two people who are madly in love with each other end up with broken hearts. We want to be loved and we want to share our love with the person whom we love. However, many of us are not aware of the true meaning of love. If we can learn what this word means, life to us will appear to be as beautiful as red roses blossoming in the dew of the morning. Being afraid to love someone, can be a regretted experience. If you find yourself thinking of the person everyday, picture a future with him/her, feeling hurt when he/she hurts, finding it hard to do the things you love with this person because you are distracted by the very thought of him/her. Even if you are with someone else and have been with him/her for years and you know that you are not in love with him/her, for your own sake, follow your heart. Love can scar and hurt us for a very long time. That is why it is so important that you should make the choice to love on your own. Being with someone that you are not happy with, or in other words, settling for mediocrity because you feel you can't do better, will rob yourself of the happiness you really deserve. This Valentine's Day, love yourself enough to be sure of what you want and who you want in your life. Take the time to be fair to yourself. If it is in your heart to love someone, do it before you miss a chance of true happiness.http://www.thenassauguardian.com/social_co...52189349092.php Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. tativale Posted February 10, 2005 at 01:28 PM Posted February 10, 2005 at 01:28 PM (edited) That's so cool! I just have to say one thing: Love doesn't hurt. If you feel pain then it's not love, it's passion. Love is more than you could ever think of, imagine ..Love is a powerful feeling. A force inside us. Love is above sex, above body. Love has no size. It can extend in many ways: Love for a father, for a mother, for a brother, for a sister, for a friend - not only man-woman. Love is all. Love is the truth. I like what Celine says: Love has no age. It's right, and I add, no age, no time, Edited February 10, 2005 at 01:29 PM by tativale Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/tativale/lildoll.gif"Sometimes we talk with our eyes and it says more than 10,000 words" moiIt's always possible to change! Elaine Posted February 20, 2007 at 02:42 AM Posted February 20, 2007 at 02:42 AM true love is when nothing else matters you love that person no matter where they r who they r what they look like you love them coz you know its right i believe we all have our soulmate somwhere <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe that too... But sometimes I guess my soulmate died in the Tsunami accident some years ago! Now serious,I love this text! it's so cute Makes me wanna fall in love I agree completely about this age thing! of course it's more difficult to talk about simple things to your partner, such as TV or music if he/she belongs to another generation... For example, while you talk about "Lost" your partner talks about "Star wars" ... But true love never sees age or social distance... Like Céline once 'said' : "Love doesn't ask, it speaks from the heart and never explains..." And this text also makes me believe I have my chances with Garou!
